people say how did he know she was going to choose hearts, but the thing is, if she didnt say hearts, he would then say that he is going to eliminate the suit she said, then ask her to say another suit, then either eliminate it or keep it if she says hearts.

first of all it is spelled "hearts" and its called a numbers game. Someone picks spades they are likely going to call hearts. You have to under stand how the human brain works to perform this trick as smooth as david did. You will probably never understand that.

@BeTheDream123 It's not psychological, just the way he says it. He only has hearts in his hand & thats it. He says choose a suite other than your own, it wont be hearts cuz hearts were removed from the deck. Then he puts their card between the hearts & he spaces the cards out so it looks like an entire deck. From now on its all about wording. He says name a suite other than your own, she said hearts if she didnt he wouldve said "eliminated" name another until she said hearts & he wouldve stopped

I think when the camera is on her writing her name he takes out most of the cards except the hearts(lucky guess probly) and then he just spreads out the cards (from the angle it looks like a full deck of cards) then he starts pushing the cards together making the illusion that the deck is getting smaller. But thats just my guess.

There were no hearts in the initial selection. He had all the time in the world to get any cards while she was writing her name.

So he just adds her card to the hearts. He makes the cards seperate so it looks like more ans squeezes them togheter. then it's easy

if u notice the cards he asks her to choose from dont contain hearts......... and theres a pile at the beggining that arent shown which must of been the hearts.... then while shes writing her name he places his left hand in his back pocket....... he must of place all the cards but the hearts in his abck pocket at that time and jsut known shell choose hearts

i think youve actually got it. Its one of those mind play things. Because she doesnt see any hearts to start off with. When shes asked on the spot "pick any other suit" she emediatly thinks of hears. It probably workes on another level that shes a girl. And a girl is probably more likely to chose hearts than any other suit.

Done with a single white Gaffed card.. When camera goes in to close up, he switches the deck to about 10 cards with a white single card which makes it appear (being held) at a low level from the eye that the desk is full, if she would go through the desk after he hands them to her, she will find a single blank white card in the middle of the 10 cards he gave her.
