To me it sounds like what happened was that your body just rejected the piercing and was pushing the jewelry to the surface of the skin to get rid of it. If that's the case, it would have happened regardless of the type of jewelry used.. although the dangly ones definitely aren't recommended for when it's healing in the first few months after getting pierced.

I have a question: i got my second holes on my ear pierced and the dumbass piercer peirced one way to far back, so we returned and got it pierced again. @0001mth mine had an absess or how ever you spell it and i took it out.. let heal for about a year or so... then had it done again.. mines perfectly fine now... i suggest you do this... especially if it's so thin it might rip out... :) xxxx
The reason it was stretching is because you had a dangle belly ring in if its not healed its not strong enough to hold the wieght of a dangle belly ring so basically the rwhole ring was falling through. Sam thing happened to me.

I'm 13 and I got bored on a Saturday night and pierced my belly button and If you don't believe her guys I put a dangly one in and it ripped my belly button too because it was too heavy but now I have redone it I did both times with a professional needle and they were sterile I even boiled them right after I took them out of the packet so no it's not a smart Idea to do it your self and only do it if u know what your doing and have sterile needles

okay first off. thats not even your bellybutton thats just skin around it. a bellybutton piercing needs to be deep and the bottom hole SHOULD BE IN THE BELLYBUTTON SKIN. of course it got ripped out, there was barely any skin holding it to your body.

It rejected it really didnt have anything to do with. Your body was just like 'wtf theres a metal thing here ' and so it pushed it out of the skin to rid you of the strab
k.uhm first of all, iv had my belly done for bout a yr now, nd the second day i had it, i put in a dangly bar. nothing happened
second, whoever did the piercing has done it wrong! it is not meant to sit so high up on your stomach like that AT ALL, the entry of the piercing (where you stick the bar thru) should be much MUCH lower and into your belly button more than what it is/was So there is one other reason why.
third, your body rejected it the first two times, and you did it again?!!! WTF!
Its called REJECTION .I've had mine like 2 weeks and i'm just keeping an eye on it to check for any signs of rejection but if you do some research on it then you'll understand fully whats happening. by the way, nothing actually triggers rejection its just your body's way of saying that it thinks the piercing is a threat to your body, if you notice that the skins getting thin then go to your piercer and ask them and they'll advise you on it. i got mine done and the same sort of thing happend with the bar suddenly ending up relly long and the top hole streching i had to take it out because these perticuler bar wasent pure metal and i dident now my body hated plastic and my body rejected it to the piont i had to take it out and there was like a little sore forming on one side of the bar growing bigger and bigger sort of like the size of a small pee hahahahaa

It ripped out because the guy who pierced you was an idiot and pierced it ON your skin, not through your navel. If he let you use a dangled one in as the first then you should have walked away then and there.

the same thing happened to me! the reason it ripped out is because
1: you changed the ring to a heavier barbell too early
2: ur body rejected it and
3: it was too much weight waaayyy too soon.! and the guy who pierced you shudnt hve dne it with that one hes dumb for that.! .. but it will not leave a big ugly scar but it will scar jusz not az bad az you think.!

research your shit first. Obviously the guy who did it is an idiot. Plus it looks like it should have been pierced deeper, through more tissue. It is likely that your body rejected it and may do it again. If you are crazy enough to do it again, try gold.

The way your belly button looks is EXACTLY the way mine looked when it ripped out because my sister sat on me and it ripped halfway out until the skin hardened and fell off :/ It's been 3 years since that happened so I'm debating on whether I should get it done tomorrow. It probably had nothing to do with the actual jewelry. It sounds like your body just rejected it and pushed it to the surface (migration). Once that starts, there's nothing you can do to fix it. Once it starts moving, there's a pretty good chance that it will keep moving until your body expels it. I had basic jewelry in mine and never put any heavy jewelry in it, but mine rejected and did exactly what yours did.
your belly button didnt rip out, its called a piercing migration. its when your body rejects a foreign object and pushes it out slowly like it would a splinter.
it did that because the dangle one is 2 heavy and it sagged.... NEVER pierce it with a dangle.... it stretches because the thick scare tissue had no chance to form so it couldn't hold the weight!
You probably had a rejection. It's when you're body doesn't want the metal there. You should get it done again and use a different kind of metal. Hope this made a difference in your outlook on belly piercings:)

Anyone reading this. if you want to wear a dangle one you should be a 100% healed and a dangle one should not be slept in and should not ever be worn longer than 1-2 days because you will stretch out.

Onion Extract
silicone that is available as a gel or rubber sheet thing ( that usually lightens or flattens scars)
Alpha Hydroxy Acids which are natural fruit acids.
uhm it probably ripped out because the bottom ball wasn't sitting inside your belly button like a normaly person's would. i woudln't get it repierced, you'll just end up with the same thing happeneing over and over again. and i know from personal experience (my belly button ring got ripped out when i was in the shower) that if it didn't hurt and it didn't bleed then that means your skin was rotting. which is gross. mk, bye.
What you experienced is called rejection. It was probably not only caused by the fact that you wore heavy "dangly" jewelry, but also the fact that you had had it pierced twice before. the scar tissue from the previous piercings probably made the piercing reject.
even if you used a "professional needle" i assume that you didn't use an autoclave to properly sterilize it. Did you even use clamps? properly sterilized initial jewelry? self piercing is always an idiotic idea >_>
If your piercing JUST ripped, then you should wait a couple of months for it to completely heal, don't get it re-pierced right away. Chances are the same thing is going to happen and it could get seriously infected or rip your belly button even further.

k.uhm first of all, iv had my belly done for bout a yr now, nd the second day i had it, i put in a dangly bar. nothing happened
second, whoever did the piercing has done it wrong! it is not meant to sit so high up on your stomach like that AT ALL, the entry of the piercing (where you stick the bar thru) should be much MUCH lower and into your belly button more than what it is/was So there is one other reason why.
third, your body rejected it the first two times, and you did it again?!!! WTF!

Its called REJECTION .I've had mine like 2 weeks and i'm just keeping an eye on it to check for any signs of rejection but if you do some research on it then you'll understand fully whats happening. by the way, nothing actually triggers rejection its just your body's way of saying that it thinks the piercing is a threat to your body, if you notice that the skins getting thin then go to your piercer and ask them and they'll advise you on it. i got mine done and the same sort of thing happend with the bar suddenly ending up relly long and the top hole streching i had to take it out because these perticuler bar wasent pure metal and i dident now my body hated plastic and my body rejected it to the piont i had to take it out and there was like a little sore forming on one side of the bar growing bigger and bigger sort of like the size of a small pee hahahahaa

maybe the reason it ripped out was because you had pierced it so many times, 3 times and you may have pierced it in different places which are near to eachother like next to eachother but not in the exact place so u had 3 holes and maybe after a while they just pushed together and the 3 holes became one big hole... you rlly should only have got it done oncee!i feel so sorry for you, i want myn done LOL;p

It ripped out because the guy who pierced you was an idiot and pierced it ON your skin, not through your navel. If he let you use a dangled one in as the first then you should have walked away then and there.

the same thing happened to me! the reason it ripped out is because
1: you changed the ring to a heavier barbell too early
2: ur body rejected it and
3: it was too much weight waaayyy too soon.! and the guy who pierced you shudnt hve dne it with that one hes dumb for that.! .. but it will not leave a big ugly scar but it will scar jusz not az bad az you think.!

research your shit first. Obviously the guy who did it is an idiot. Plus it looks like it should have been pierced deeper, through more tissue. It is likely that your body rejected it and may do it again. If you are crazy enough to do it again, try gold.

I Have My Belly Button Pierced And I Chose Three For Christmas (Four Days-So Exited) And Two Of Them I Think Were Dangly And What I'll Do Is Put The One I Got It Pierced With In Before I Go To Bed Or Maybe If I Get Bored Change It After Lunch (I'll Wash And Sanitise My Hands Obviously-Wouldn't Want It Infected Now Would I?) The way your belly button looks is EXACTLY the way mine looked when it ripped out because my sister sat on me and it ripped halfway out until the skin hardened and fell off :/ It's been 3 years since that happened so I'm debating on whether I should get it done tomorrow. I won't lie by now you're probably aware there's a decent scar there, but it's not nearly as bad as expected.

It probably had nothing to do with the actual jewelry. It sounds like your body just rejected it and pushed it to the surface (migration). Once that starts, there's nothing you can do to fix it. Once it starts moving, there's a pretty good chance that it will keep moving until your body expels it. I had basic jewelry in mine and never put any heavy jewelry in it, but mine rejected and did exactly what yours did.

it did that because the dangle one is 2 heavy and it sagged.... NEVER pierce it with a dangle.... it stretches because the thick scare tissue had no chance to form so it couldn't hold the weight!

Anyone reading this. if you want to wear a dangle one you should be a 100% healed and a dangle one should not be slept in and should not ever be worn longer than 1-2 days because you will stretch out.

the same thing happened to me but i never changed it, but when it ripped out it didnt hurt at all. the scar is so ugly... and idk what to do to like cover it up i dont even think it can be coverd. Its gross looking. and i really loved having my belly ring. my mom wants to take me back and get it redone but its gonna hurt and what if it happends again... ?

@XOsolovelyX that sucks, there are a few ways to remove scars I have found work cause when I was little i hurt my face and got a scar but it is pretty much gone now try these things
Onion Extract
silicone that is available as a gel or rubber sheet thing ( that usually lightens or flattens scars)
Alpha Hydroxy Acids which are natural fruit acids.

uhm it probably ripped out because the bottom ball wasn't sitting inside your belly button like a normaly person's would. i woudln't get it repierced, you'll just end up with the same thing happeneing over and over again. and i know from personal experience (my belly button ring got ripped out when i was in the shower) that if it didn't hurt and it didn't bleed then that means your skin was rotting. which is gross. mk, bye.

What you experienced is called rejection. It was probably not only caused by the fact that you wore heavy "dangly" jewelry, but also the fact that you had had it pierced twice before. the scar tissue from the previous piercings probably made the piercing reject.
even if you used a "professional needle" i assume that you didn't use an autoclave to properly sterilize it. Did you even use clamps? properly sterilized initial jewelry? self piercing is always an idiotic idea >_>

If your piercing JUST ripped, then you should wait a couple of months for it to completely heal, don't get it re-pierced right away. Chances are the same thing is going to happen and it could get seriously infected or rip your belly button even further.
