Every time I have seen Ritchie in concert it is also a great opportunity to see all the who's who of the local music scene because they are all there also. It is sad that the era of virtuoso rock musicians has past and there is almost a total absence of musicians of his caliber today. Every album that came out had something new that I had never heard any other musician do. Even today Blackmore's Night is breaking ground that may finally get him the mainstream recognition that he deserves.

Ritchie is the creative rollin' behind deep, rollin' deep. Who cares what those people thought, I also thought deep purple was an asshole in light of the Ritchie case. Am I wrong or am I just ought sought.?If I saw a cruddy song, it didn't come from Blackmore; Blackmore's Rainbow: \ Um cuze' me, yes the keyboards r too loud ru that dumb. i'm sorry i'm just a chick & i'm tryin to piss u off. wow man , my friend saw him with Purple in the 70's he said Ritchie was an Asshole hehehe he played with his back facing the crowd most of the show and he flipped off the audience heheheh and hardly smiled hehehe is he really like that??

@SabbraCadabra789 I hear a little of that neo classical sound in Michael as well, but it is not as pronounced or prolific as Ritchie. Neo classical guitarists are as rare as hens teeth, and the only reason I can think of is a decline in appreciation for classical music in society as a whole.
