They are both based off the same ideals, mindset, and even people. You are free to call it what you wish, Maybe you wish to call it "Sage" where you only do precision jumps, Thats up to you.

When we shot this 3 years ago, we only set out to help promote an original and amazing game. Admittedly, none of us were experts in parkour vs. traceur (outside of the ridiculously talented duo who volunteered their abilities). That's our fault, and if we had known almost 2 million people would watch this, we would have been able to get more time and money to shoot something that is more true to what you guys expect.
I am so sick of the people who says it's not parkour because it has one flip in it, or because they did moves that are not "efficient". Body control and knowing your limits is also a BIG part of the Parkour philosophy. I find the separation of the two terms so sickening the way people nag about it on videos on youtube.. I consider myself a traceur, even though i enjoy flipping as well. I interpret what parkour means to me, and develop my own style of movement from that. Parkour to me still

The video is cool but it has nothing to do with Mirror's Edge. Especially since free running has no place in the world of Mirror's Edge. It's all about parkour. Flipping is slow and will get you killed.
I kinda lost hope for a legitimate Parkour video once the flips and tricks started kicking in, that's all Free-Running, brothers. But hell we're all born off the same branch, doesn't really matter, right? So as long as everyone knows the difference. Also, that's not parkour. It's freerunning. In parkour, you don't do gratuitous backflips and needless jumps. It's for speed, not showing off.

@TheAtrocitus No. That's a common misconception, and one of debate in the Parkour/Freerunning culture as they often overlap. But they are not exactly the same. The word "Freerunning" was originally created to be the English equivalent of" Parkour", but it has come to mean something different. Freerunners use flips and other non-practical moves to express themselves, whereas Traceurs (those that practice Parkour) stay to more practical movements, less fanciful and more "getting from A to B."

@3RunRico i agree, grafitti is beautiful (as long as its actually detailed and not the one black line of paint scribble) i dont know why people complain about it, grafitti makes cities a lot more vivid.
