I have thought about this video all week and it has really helped me continue to move in the necessary direction towards a healthier self. Your videos and story are so helpful at motivating women to not only tolerate their bodies but actually appreciate and like them. Thank you Jenni.
This made me cry...Thank you so much. Especially the part where you said that you were trying to recover and still maintain your body shape. It's impossible and you made me realize that. Thank you so much.
I'm so glad you have recovered from your EDs, and that you are happy with your body, but as someone who suffered from anorexia nervosa for many years, I would emphasise that there is MUCH more to EDs than body dissatisfaction. I always knew I was too thin, and that it looked awful, but I felt compelled to starve and over-exercise. My ED had nothing to do with 'body image'. It was about control and asceticism.
Jenni, have you ever thought about making a movie or a documentation about your life without ed? Because it's really nice watching you. I love that and your first book has already given me so much good ideas for my recovery. You are a hero. xo
