  • doesnt glass block uv light? If it works, what glass are you using?

  • @kicksontop I just had a glass shop cut me a piece based on my dimensions I asked for. I don't think it's UV protected cause it works still.

  • Is this the same mixture on the restoremysneakers account where they actually make the product in the kitchen or is it different? much appreciated

  • I have questions about the retrobrite process can someone help me please!!!

  • @QLO85akaBlackMamba Fire away!

  • @optimusp517 hey how can you cause a blue tint intentionally?

  • i meant post sorry

  • Hello,

I am looking at setting up my own inside sea glow/retro bright process. Can you please pose a link to the exact lighting fixture you purchased? That would be a great help.

  • @zotic212 I think I'm going to be doing a video in regards to this. It's been asked many many times. I think the video will help many of you and also I'll be modifying my current setup to make it more effective.

  • If i use this on space jams will i get sole separation OR traxion loss?

  • I think I'm doing something wrong stop getting results and I even switched to a higher peroxide can anyone help had to go back to sea glow wish I didnt to expensive

  • Can you use any kind of bulb, will it still work?

  • @Razzy710 It has to be "UV" bulbs or else it's pretty much useless.

  • @optimusp517 would dying the soles help

  • @jorgerene09 What do you mean? Dye it to what color? Blue? or that light blue that the concords are going to have?

  • @optimusp517 something like the eggplants, so that they don't yellow overtime

  • where'd you cop the light ?

  • @Rmichael831 I picked up the housing at Lowes. Bulbs were picked up at a pet store.

  • @optimusp517 thanks man,

  • @Rmichael831 Housing at Lowes and bulbs at petsmart

  • where can i grab me some bro

  • @86jmacc restoremysneakers sells them or I could make you some and sell them to you. same stuff as theirs. Just can't share how cause I spoke to them and can't share the process.

  • Nice instruction video.

I would delete the glass and hang them over the lights.

    Glass blocks UV.

  • @robertgift Hmm great tip! How much UV does it block out? I'll use the hanging method next and go from there.

  • @optimusp517 I have no idea how much UV is blocked by glass. You can probably find out, but what would it matter? Just do the ideal - what is most efficient. UV does reflect. Don't expose yourself or animals to the UV. Hope this does not cause OVER exposure.

  • @robertgift Now I need to figure out a way to hang the shoes above the lights. Thinking of some things to do already...

  • @optimusp517 First I would hang them from clothes hangars witheir own laces until something else would span the space.

  • how do you make it ?

  • @JETZTUBE I might be doing a video on how to make this stuff.

  • is this better than seaglow?

  • @kicksontop It's easier to work with, but I think I'm seeing a sligthly better result with seaglow.

  • @optimusp517 i just purchased both and im seeing crazy bette results with the sauce.

  • @kicksontop The only reason why I say this is because of renegade restoration results. For some reason he can get some damn good results and I'm trying to figure out what he's doing...

  • looks like my conditioner lol

  • @SevenSonix Most of the ingredient you'll find in items "like" lotion so that's why it looks like that and has the same liquid consistency.

  • Ima sneaker forreal but all this work just to get the sole clear is too much for a person like me

  • @Jthrillz728 It can be!

  • hey i have a questioin i filled the first form to order the retro bright and i got the email now what?

  • @HighS0ULTV You just wait for them. That's all I know, best person to contact is them.

  • does it work on netting of the 5s???

  • @TIMMIAY I haven't tried yet and from what I've seen or heard it doesn't work so well on netting.

  • Where can I buy this retro brite

  • @frankgotkicks restoremysneaker's webpage. Check them out.

  • a scientist at work lmao thank god for science

  • a scientist at work lmao

  • meth lab lol, nice vid

  • @xXVScytheVXx Feels like it haha.

  • Did you encounter sole separation when you were doing your 11's?

  • @bostonceltics727 With this method I have not yet.

  • what does loss of traction mean?

  • @MrXgraffkidd1x Literally what it means. You lose grip when you walk. Best way to find out is probably a clean gym floor.

  • Nice video I have a after care method to keep the IceySole clean ass hell I not only tried this but I use it as well hit me @ BlackQuest89 and ask question I will answer them.

  • @BlackQuest89 You've posted this single comment on EVERY one of my video. So what does it do exactly for the sole? Have you actually make a video of the whole process live?

  • what are the amounts of ingredients that you used to make the retro bright?

  • @rybo1290 Look up restoremysneaker's video on the "sauce" and they'll teach you the amount.

  • where did you buy that lighting fixture at?

  • @dezske197 I bought the fixture from Lowes. Had the glass made at a window/glass shop, and got the bulbs from petco.

  • Does this work better than seaglow? they seem both very time consuming, and this "mixture" seem to be a hassle to make. Any benefit to retrobrite over seaglow? thanks optimus

  • @titanmedic23 im doing a restoration just using sea glow i put in like 8 hours on the left sneaker. all sea glow. i think sea glow is less of a hassle and cheaper

  • @garay7826 thanks, whats the outcome of your work so far?

  • @garay7826 Whichever works for you.

  • @titanmedic23 I like this because the substance is thick instead of a liquid so it won't run on your shoe if you decided to use this process.

  • you dont need all that stuff. i posted my video on my project on sea glow in sunlight he said 20hrs for those results i got better in 7 hours

  • @garay7826 Everyone has their own method. Where I live you don't always get Sunlight so soemtimes that option is not available for others either. Also the other reason why I did this method is heat and sole separation. Sunlight always gives you the risk of sole separation. Trust me if there was no separation I'd love to use sunlight because it DOES reduce the amount of time needed and you get faster results!

  • @garay7826 this process is safer because when you sea glow using the sun light leaving your shoes in the sun will warm the shoe up (the sun is obvious hotter then a light bulb) and cause the glue on the sole to liquidate and sole the starts to separate from the mid sole which is a big no no

  • im doing a sea glow project. just with natural sunlight. stay tuned to see what is better sauce or sea glow. i also have the OG Space Jams. so coming soon results...

  • what about results wise. which would you say gets faster results under indoor seaglowing?

  • @cutster2 I never had the correct setup down in place so I couldn't say which one presented the best results in the smallest amount of time. So far right now I'm leaning towards retrobrite.

  • how does retrobright compare to seaglow?

  • @cutster2 I love this stuff! Easy on and easy off, no scrubbing or anything needed afterward!

  • great set up bro. so you put soles down directly onto glass?

  • great set up bro. so you put soles down directly onto glass?

  • @max71204 Yup directly over the glass

  • does it have to be exactly those lights can you use fish lights?

  • @MrDaddymorales Are fish lights UV? you want something that emits UV rays

  • Where do u get the retrobrite?

  • @mazelbaptist You can make your own or buy them from restoremysneaker. I'm in the process of finding out how restoremysneaker is making the solution because it can get pretty expensive.

  • can this help with my jordan 6s varsity red?

  • @347mex It will work on any soles with clear soles.

  • does this work equally with the cool greys? please help!

  • Respond to this video...

  • How much time do you let them sit when you apply the sauce till you rinse them off and how many times is recommended a day to do it? How many days using the same application till you see results? (HELP)

  • @townsters I've left it on for 7-10 hours with no issues sometimes 12. It's usually taken me at least a good week to do it. Halfway through you'll see some results.

  • @optimusp517 wait so you leave the light on for 7-10 hours and do you re-apply halfway through?

  • how much money did you put into your setup?

  • @MatthewLuisIgnacio I believe housing was about $20, lights were total to be about $65, glass about $24, and of course you need your own foil and make your own cutout for the bottom parts, but those aren't much. So a little over $100 just in hardware. Then you have to factor in the retrobrite material. The most expensive stuff is the hydrogen peroxide. A bottle of that sucker was $19 bucks!

  • Also I'm still trying to figure out how to make the "SAUCE" cause it's a lot more cost efficient if I know how to do that.

  • So if you have the indoor setup, you can leave it up for however long you want with no risk of sole separation?

  • @shastanizzle813 There is always a risk. Each pair of shoes could be different depending on wear life and so forth. If they're DS the glue of course is probably holding up pretty well. If it's been worn I can't always vouch for it. I know just know my setup doesn't pickup as much heat as you would with direct sunlight. I guess if I truly want to find out you can buy me a temperature gun and mail it to me so I can check :)

There's always that possibility of sole separation.

  • Is it more effective in direct sun? Or does it matter?

  • @shastanizzle813 From what I've been told it is more effective with natural sunlight instead of UV bulbs. The amount of time is drastically reduced if you use sunlight, but the only issue is the possibility of sole separation.

  • got damn results r good bro. wow keep it coming with restorations

  • For this, would you use this after SeaGlow. or would you use this as an alternative for it. becuase my Oreo 6's are yellowing and i want to know whats the best bet for me.

  • @iceicetee I'm only going to use Retrobrite from this point on. No need to use seaglow anymore for me.

  • How did regular retrobrite compare to the sauce?

  • @blkek Pretty much the same thing.

  • I am going to try this. Where did you get the light fixture from?

  • @airjordanxiv Home Depot/Lowes.

  • @optimusp517 thanks for the info!

  • Have you tested the actual sauce yet that restoremysneakers sent you?

  • @OverCookedSushi I have and it's work great! I'll have a before and after video load up pretty shortly.

  • Comment removed

  • will this application make the carbon fiber unglue from sole?

  • @rongosserand Nope it shouldn't. I've been fine and I put my pair of DS in this setup for 30-40 hours or so already and it's been fine.

  • getting ICY man i love it good work

  • nice tutorial man..too bad restoremysneakers doesnt ship intl T_T

  • lol tha guy tried selling the suace cause he poor

  • @SOLIDSNAKEXXX360 Can't knock the hustle. If there's demand then there's no issue just gotta supply. When you're put in a bind you'll do almost anything to get out of it.

  • you sellin that sauce?

  • @boojitede Not selling sauce. lol
