One of my favorite Kiss solos! You do it very well! The solo on that song is guy named Steve Faris I believe. He was very close to being Ace's replacement, but I believe he was beat out by Vinnie because of his song writing abilities. Ace will always be my favorite, but after him, Vinnie was by far the most talented guitarist Kiss had after him. The guy wrote some amazing songs with the band.

The 6 has one draw back, the single pick ups get alot of plectrum damage and at times can get in the way a little during certain routines, whereas say the model 4 doesn't have this problem because of the way the pick ups are spaced, not knocking the guitar as i have the same model / year, not in pink but in crackle. Plus points for the model 6 are the 24 frets and the fact that is made from one piece of wood from top to bottom (no bolt on neck) whereas the model 4 has 22 frets and a bolt on neck

I disagree, some of his early shows were crap, but if you watch the KISSOLOGY Video from Brazil he is realy cooking. I saw him on both the US Creatures Tour and Lick It Up European tour and he was great. Although from what Iv seen on video from the Lick It Up US Tour he did suck big time. This is probably due to the problems he was having with Paul and Gene. Shame he was a talented guy.

The Rock in Rio show kicks ass. Vinnie was very talented, but guess he didn't have the high class taste that Gen and Paul wanted from him. Didn't stop them from using his talents on Revenge though, did it?

by the time the creatures of the night album came out, Ace had left the band, and KISS brought in Vinnie Vincent. Who used vibrato.

Ace played rhythm's on I Love it Loud as far as I know. He also played it during a show or two in Europe.

Sorry dude but your wrong. Ace didnt play on any of the LP. He did how ever go on a short promo tour of Europe where he took part in Record shop signings and a few Lip Sync TV shows. You can see them on you tube. This was done in order to fool the record company into thinking he was still in the band. As soon as the promo tour was over he was gone. Keep on rocking

Thanks. I had heard that Ace played the rhythm guitar on I Love It Loud so he knew what to play for the promo tour, but I guess that's wrong. Also, Wikipedia should be corrected. The newsletter at the time stated that, "Ace Frehley is on break and will be back after certain personal difficulties" [or similar], or something to the effect. Vinnie was only a temp, probably to fool the record company. Thanks for clearing this up for me, however, Paul did the solo live [studio?] if any cares.

Hi Coincoin222. Ace didn't generally use a tremelo (vibrato!) until a brief period when he went solo (with a signature Washburn then with trem). Ace didn't play on any of the Creatures of The Night Album - rumour has it Kiss brought a number of guitarists into the studio at the time for "trials" and used the solo's they liked, including Vinnies.

Played very good! I`d like to see the small solo`s where there is no music behind the guitar at 1 minute 11 and at the very end. I play this with my band. Wonder what it is exactly that you do??? Please post it slow!! You really have the feel of the studio album. Most people copy Bruce version. I like it.
