Hey, this sounds very good, we are 4 musicians on stage with a bass, a guitar, a bongoe and a cuban tres, 3 main vocals, so, is this unit (Bose L1) suitable to amplify this kind of group? what about power and clarity? thanks for any answer
Question: Using the Tone Match syst., what are the best settings for the music & mic. so that one's vocals won't sound as though they are singing from far away but rather sound natural and balanced. I know there many settings like reverb, frequencies, etc, but I don't understand much. Could you tell me where you would recommend setting the options in all sections of that little turning knob on the top right area of the tone match so that one's voice will sound the way it should be heard??
You'll have to use a pedal in front of the Bose if you want distortion. This is not a guitar amp per se. It's a full range PA. You create your sound and this makes it louder. Any modeler or effect will work as long as you put a speaker sim in the path. For clean tones you don't need the speaker sim, but it sounds better with it, IMO.
I have not even tried that, but it is BOSE, so it should sound great, I will be purchasing one for DJing, I have friends who DJ using them and they say they are fantastic! :)
I tried it with a distortion pedal and it fell apart, didn't cope at all well. Having said that, when I did it they didn't have the amp modeling units which they do now so that may have sorted it.
you need to use a speaker simulator if you're gonna play with distortion. There is a very good one built into the Bose T1 mixer, which I use. There are others out there, or, you can use a modeler as mentioned. My signal path is all analog until it hits the mixer.
I love the "Stelly" configuration. I'm constantly experimenting with parts-casters and just about all of them end up as Strat/Tele hybrids. Keep up the tasteful playing.
Nice playing! Nice sound!
