must be something wrong with your dosbox, I've just played the game and the music plays just fine. in fact I was just enjoying the music of getting my ass handed to me because I don't know how to fire my weapons...

I really like the visual style of this game. It's got personality, unlike a lot of other space games that seem a bit too generic. Really good to see this walkthrough, glad I searched for it!

@nutherefurlong Yeah, I love the graphics and the music. Like I said before, this would have been a great sequel for the Starflight series. Thanks for the praise. I kept wondering why no one had made a walkthrough of this game.

Just to let you know, your tag for Starflight gets you mentioned on page 18 when you search You Tube for "Starflight"!!! Don;t know that just tagging will do the business then....! :)

@Altoman5 Well that's true and it's really good you made this for this unknown game. But part of these video's are surely to let people who don't know the game, find out about it to go and get it and play it. How many searched for Starflight and would love to know about this game but don't? That's a shame...!

@HardWarUK I'm sure there's a lot of people who don't know about this game and it is a shame. Protostar was supposed to be Starflight 3 until EA backed out and forced Tsunami to change the title. It's there if someone wants to watch it. Just to let you know I'm almost finished with another review and hopefully will post it up within the week.

@Altoman5 Found a 12 page pdf manual of Protostar on Hotud.org. It's only 12 pages so i don't know yet if it's the whole manual. I also found Planet's Edge and Centauri Alliance, so downloaded them too! :) Also, as you so rightly said, I will watch the first few LP's as a 'video tutorial'! :)

@HardWarUK That's good. The manual I had includes basically a walkthrough on how to beat the game. It's probably good that you didn't get the entire manual.

@HardWarUK You can find this game on the many abandonware sites. As for buying the CD, I'm sure you can find one on eBay or Amazon. I bought mine years ago along with Blue Force.

@Altoman5 I have Blue Force. I am in the UK and I checked Amazon and ebay and to get the game with the manual is a $40+ buy. On abandonware, unlike Starflight, there are no pdf documents for download just a partial text manual. With a game like this, that's not enough.

@HardWarUK I can't find a pdf copy of the manual online. The game is not that hard once you get use to it. I'm not sure if I still have my copy I have to check.
