@suziq820 You can cut the remainder if it is sticking out. Is in cracked down to the skin? Remove any sharp points and watch for redness and swelling at the skin. Most just do fine
this happend to my dog as well in was real bad we coud not bring him ton a vet but he fell off the curb when i was walking him i pickeed him up to say sorry but them y brother said ZIEDOE IS BLEEDING! so i puck him up than ran home my dad tried to take care of it but ziedoe just stayed in his bed until my mom came home. ziedoe dose not like my dad verey mutch but he was so calm with my mom. what my mom did was clipped the broken claw off than bandaged it and i mean she bandaged it GOOD.
This will never happen to my dogs they like to run so much that we started rollerblading and I noticed when I was going to clip that their nails were smooth and rounded down from all the running everything was great other than the hind dew claws which was just a few quick clips and ready to run so haha saves time on a lot of things if you exercise your pups a tired dog is a happy dog.
@DrGregDVM haha Thanks that means alot, we recently found a all natural feed store where they do not sell ANYTHING with by product and we have bought a bag of hard food and not once have my dogs gotten sick and it is better cause I can add meat with the hard food to kinda make a bigger meal instead of feeding multiple times a day. And yes you won't be surprised in how many people lack in the dogs need especially exercise and dogs travel miles a day in the wild but people do not care.
Finally a video that didn't make my toes curl, well, until we got to the upclose photograph at 2:03. But i digress. I trim all of the doggy toes in the family or perhaps i should say three doggies and one snarly demon And i have the scratch marks to prove it. But we're working on that. With every snip there's words of encouragement and a little liverwurst. Seriously, a little dab of that stuff at the end of my pointer finger and i can almost train them to vacuum and take the trash out. =)
This just happen to me today, i cant believe it. I had a friend cut half of the nail off. Should I cut the remainder of the nail off? Im so worried.
