I think Manuela is an awesome character not only because she's hot and possibly of some Hispanic descent which I wish Resident Evil had more characters of, but because she actually isn't a one dimensional character. She's very interesting and hell, she proves incredibly useful at the end. Oh and by the way, she managed to do what Alexia in the end failed to accomplish, be ONE with the Veronica virus. It may not happen, but I'd love to see her again.

@dubblfull4evr There are two endings to this scenario of the game. If you manage to kill the final boss in time, she lives. If not, then she loses too much blood and materialize into dust. The real and true ending is Manuela survives and she is taken by the government so if you like Manuela as much as I do, you would be pleased. :D
