I'm a huge Star Wars and comic book nerd myself. My nickname (ForceGhost97) explains it all. I have Jedi outfit (with Anakin's lightsaber), action figures, books, posters etc., and i'm proud of it. Whenever someone laughs at me i laugh at them reminding myself how the Force is strong within me.

To be honest Star Trek is actually a good TV show.

Though I reserve the right to shoot at anyone who thinks it's a good idea to put on a Starfleet uniform and play with plastic props.

Dressing up as a Roman, shouting "Roma Victor" into the faces of member's of the public and drinking earl grey tea on a bench with other guys dressed as Romans... I'd do that every day.

see, i think fanboys get less and less nerdy as the skill level to craft their costumes go up. Trekkies (sry trekkers) costume is of the simplest to make, while as something like a super hero has a very broad range and skill level can be very high, making them less nerdy due to time spent making the costumes, rather than practicing something like Klingon (which is uber nerd).

I'm 2-4 (3 being the VtM larp group) but in all honesty, a lot of the star wars cosplay normally looks pretty damn cool and good. I've noticed that a lot of the Trek cosplay just looks ridiculous, the larp's I attend normally involve you wearing your normal clothes, unless you want to dress up, as for Otaku, it's a 50/50, same with comic book cosplay (which I'm a fan of comics, but not to a large extent)

Well, I left out MMORPG'ers because lots of people are, to the point that it is pretty much mainstream now. They would definitely be 6th place though, especially some of the more extreme ones... Anyway, right now, I would consider myself category 1, but maybe slightly less extreme than the Trekkies on the pictures in that part. I also play MMOs, but a few, and not very often. I'm more of a web-browser MMO person myself.
