  • Honestly I find it amazing how many people think the most beautiful and natural things are discusting, I work with many women who were discusted by the fact I breastfed my daughter, for me it was never an option, it was a given, you do the best for your children from day one, or at least you try.

  • I've never heard of such a thing and I had 2 babies and I READ...(no TV at home). Now mind you I'm a horsewoman as well (than being a mom I mean) and I do remember that Mares do eat part of the Placenta to kind of retore their strengh after giving birth. I didn't know that people did the same. It doesn't sound ll that ..well..appetizing...I'm french....good food is important...Placenta....well..I don't know..with a sauce I guess or cured maybe? Grilled at least with garlic and Herbes.

  • My children's placentas are planted under trees in our yard. People are ignorant, which is sad, but it's especially sad when women are ignorant about women's history and women's issues.

  • Sounds very unconventional. But still I'm curious about what this barbara person wrote.

  • i want the coffee shop video on that one. with audio. i will check TMZ for the "I Ate Mine!" Susan Powter video.

  • I am getting that book. I was just told off today for saying that I nursed my now 11 year old for the first 2 years of her life. I was called disgusting, and a very over protective mother that should have cut the cord herself.

    Always

  • I bet that guy eats tons of contaminated beef all the time. He probably thinks nothing of eating the flesh of animals so it is just a matter of ignorance.

  • I'd never heard of it either.

    Thanks Susan.

  • I loves me some SP too!

  • I knew there was a reason we were friends! lol I heart her. She's badass, strong, and feminine all at the same time. Word!

  • um awkward..

  • I wish you'd told me about this when I gave birth to my son 3 months ago. I would have planted it. My garden needs it. :)

  • Fierce, Susan! I feel that way when I hear and overhear statements about "old" people.

  • Honestly Susan I had never heard of this. Thanks for sharing the story...off to google this
