steve you are absolutely right! obsessing can also create tension and anxiety - obsessing over each calorie, over what i've burned etc when i'm eating... as you say the fundamentals work. obsession can lead to stress hormone cortisol being elevated so you'll end up retaining weight and eating away at muscle... over time... just relax. its a slow but sure fire proccess - a lifestyle not an event. your help is really worth its weight in gold
@rashidaziz84 If he didnt know what he is talking about he wouldnt be telling millions of people to do what he is saying....you said a really dumb question....it is already proven....besides food doesnt make you fat...its total number of calories in the food that you ate...energy cannot be created or destroyed....all the unused energy isnt going to just dissapear it is saved as stored energy...known as body fat
@SubZeroSkyLine "energy cannot be created or destroyed" Right but that has nothing to do with the rate at which the body burns calories in different temperatures. Don't be an ass to people just because they want actual proof to back up claims.
I ate an egg white in the morning...and then I had about 10 green grapes then I worked out for 2 hours (burnt 630 calories on the treadmill)after I was done I felt light headed and dizzy and weak...I now ate tuna salad and 3 pieces of toast with peanut butter and jam to see if that will make me feel better...I do now...little headache and sleepy! is that too un healthy to do what I did? should I be eating more before a workout?
@Sheenbean000 WOAH just an egg, and not even with the yolk?? That is DEFINITELY not healthy. I would recommend eating a balanced meal in the morning, fruits/vegetables (not just 10 grapes!), protein, fats, and complex carbs. Then work out. I usually eat a big breakfast and then eat smaller portions for my other two meals. Before work out I drink a protein smooth: protein powder, yogurt, frozen fruits, and flaxseed (adding fibre ;D). I ALWAYS drink water as I work out and after (too keep hydrated
Oh my god, as of tomorrow, im going out, buying a notebook, watching all your videos, and writing down everything u say one by one...when i go off to uni im going to read over it everytime im in doubt. bless u, u give me hope
I just weighed in and I'm still where I was last week. But I'll just have to do better next week. I expected to stalemate this week with all the good food. No big deal.
haha... nice choice of words there, "going to the bathroom" I guees for some people, depending on what they eat, going to the bathroom could become a process xD
Great video, Steve. All the information is perfect: simple and to the point. Your videos are full of things that we know, but fail to do. They are awesome reminders! Thanks so much!

hi steve, is it best to do cardio before weight trainning or after ?. i tend to do cardio before weight trainning because i sorta get lazy after.
Sinbadboy2006 5 years ago
Doesn't really matter. I prefer doing cardio after lifting because I need all my available energy to lift.
