please help me, I have a single speaker with no wires, amps or anything. just the terminals ( - ) and ( + ). and i connected it with my ipod with the AUX wires. BUT i really want to know, how do i give it a boost? sorta like adding a battery... how would i be able to attach a car battery on the circuit?
listen i can help slightly but _might_ not be correct because of bad quality (no offense). The bad sound quality appears to be be cause the small plastic film is missing from the speaker, if you don't know what i am talking about then take the cover off of a pair of mp3 _headphones_ and u will see the small film i speak of. It amplifies sound when its covered, batteries wont sorry :P
#1 the batteries have got to go #2 reason: your using one speaker when you have the wires for stereo sound. You have to wire just one channel to the speaker!
Hey, dude... FOR WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU NEED 3 DAYS!?! FOR PUTTING FEW WIRES TOGETHER, AND A BATERRY BETWEEN!?! And at the end, you figure it out, that the thing you spent 3 day is just destroying your Mp3...
you can directly attach the speaker to the mp3 player, without the batteries, i tried it with a car speaker and it work, but but you can barely hear it.
simple take a pair of head phones and cut off the end that plugs into the ipod with about 9 inches of wire still attached and solder or connect it to the leads of the speaker ...check the connections first so you dont short it ...simply put plug and play but wait to solder
i wonder about the direction of two batteries . But that is awesome . I still don't know how to attach the lithi-ion bats to my DIY speaker . Without bats , the volume is small and my mp3 player is fastly out of energy .
it would be constantly sending 1.5v up in to the speaker so technically it does amplify, not the sound but the initial elevation of the speaker, like reseting its zero position. then sending an additional 1.5v, were up to 3 now, back into the mp3 player, which over time will burn it out. Oh and driving speakers that big drain your batteries much faster. which is why headphones are made the way they are (plastic cone element), they use less power.
well.. at least you've got the skilzz to keep explaning your fail... in the end you'll simply burn the speaker through pressing the cone that hard with the wrong signals..
Waste, I have head sets that are loud enough to fill a whole room if everyone is quiet (small room). plus you can just buy some tiny speakers for like 5$. The best thing is though if you attach it to a guitar amp and crank it up really loud. (sounds awesome)
Actually, yes there is amplification in small computer speakers. About a half watt, I believe. You can tell because it requires an external power source. In most cases, 240V from the wall.
The batteries do nothing except create resistance They do not help amplification in any way. That is final. No point in the batteries being there. They don't help. They hinder. I cannot understand why people can't see this.
Battery Amps? Your going to have a LOT of Audiophiles on your case. :P terrible quality sound, and 3 days!? DUDE! That's fucking SAD. it took me 3 minutes to get a speaker hooked up to my freaking tv!
Why so you have batteries? a speaker works on AC power feed, adding a DC source as you have done is pointless. it has to do with the Audio sine wave that and what you have is feeding a good 3 volt current through the Audio subjuction without a diode bridge this project would cook 80% of MP3 players Check out my vids for atmospheric ampliciation.
i wonder if i can do this on my mp3 player with portable speakers without the batteries(power right off of the player)just not sure if its gonna be loud enough w/out the batteries?
besides the mp3 or any other object that play music generates a current which is not stable like suddent change of -/+(negative/posative) to generate diffrent magnetic field and repele or atract the permenent magnet in the speakers.....by doing that (suddent change of current) wont it short out the batteries or risk of explosion?

loose the battery they cause resistance in the speaker wire prohibiting good sound

BATTERIES FOR WHAT?
fucking retard -.-
at least they are'nt amplifying the speeker.. just leading the signals to the element...
even small signals from mp3's and such, is enough to get some sound out of a speaker -.-

Oh my fucking god. Nobody do this. This project does nothing, could damage your ipod and is a waste of time. Batteries do not amplify.
Zenodilidon is the only person here who has some sense. Don't listen to any of the other suggestions. They'r pointless.
If you wanna amplify your ipod, take the small amplifier out of a set of shitty computer speakers or something.
Hell, leave the speakers together and hey, presto! Amplification!

-The wire is damaged
-The wire does not make good contact with the bateries

I wouldn't do this, exept if you have a mp3player with a high-power battery. Read the notes on the right side...
Sukosanac1993 4 years ago
accually wad is the battery for?
the 2 contact points does'nt touch each other
besides the mp3 or any other object that play music generates a current which is not stable like suddent change of -/+(negative/posative) to generate diffrent magnetic field and repele or atract the permenent magnet in the speakers.....by doing that (suddent change of current) wont it short out the batteries or risk of explosion?
