  • i'd love to walk around kenwood i live by mendips i go in the garden of a night it blows your mind superb video

  • Amazing - how on earh did the filmmaker gain access to the grounds and interior of the house?

  • Nice! What's SFF, though? Sorry to be ignorant.

  • @boobah1067 Strawberry fields forever

  • @deniseemelierose Oh duh. Oops! HA HA HA!

  • Don't know why they would re-model the interior as it was a piece of history, and a time machine in a sense. They destroyed the vibe man (

Oh well at least it is being restored and not torn down )

  • Take a look at the Kenwood blog for all Kenwood stuff past and present:

    kenwoodlennon.blogspot.com

  • Just fabulous. I remember that photograph at 9:11 so well. Saw a million times, but never knew it was taken at Kenwood. I too thank you for posting this.. Great to see, but I am shocked that it's not renovated and lived in.

  • Wow, this is great. And that early version of Strawberry Fields, man!! Fascinating.

  • Beautifully done !

  • Why oh why does his Kenwood home look like this now?! Britian should be ashamed. I love John so much and it just breaks my heart to see this. But, I am truly thankful to you for posting it. I have been a Beatles fan since 1964 when I was only 13.

  • copante casa!}

  • This is fantastic fans to see,.. thanks for posting

  • Excellent job on matching the two videos. Nature has really crept in over the years and spread around the property. I agree wth the earlier comment that it would have been nice to have kept the house the way John had it--Just for future generations to see how he lived. It would have had to become a national trust property for that to happen though. The soundtrack gives a really ghost -like eery feel to the comparisons made.

  • how did you film this? it´s beautiful.,,

  • i thought he lived in the dakota in NY??

  • @nightcrawler511 Before he moved to NYC. When he was together with Cynthia.

  • @TheJesterGirl what house was in the imagine video

  • @nightcrawler511 That was at Tittenhurst on london road. He lived there from '69-'71 together with Yoko.

  • The swimming pool was rebuilt after John lived there, in the opposite direction.

I can't watch this. It's too sad; like at a funeral.

  • The swimming pool was rebuilt after John lived there, in the opposite direction..

  • OMG... is this amazing home now abandoned?? It looks a wreck!!

  • One thing about John Lennon - he had exquisite taste in houses. This house is truly beautiful, much the same with his later Surrey Estate.

  • amazing! That's where he wrote virtually all my fav Lennon songs!

  • This is excellent. Thank you so very much for sharing.

  • great video jumping back to the shots of lennon at home compared to how it looks now.

  • I would have kept the music area or recording area in original condition...but would have that made it worth more $....I dont know.

  • Thanks for the comparisons. I hope that the new owners undetake a renovation that at least somewhat reflects the home's appearance during the residency of its most notable owner.

  • A bit spooky but awesome!

  • That was an absolutely amazing tour and reflection of John's home and what it all looked like for him. Thank you.
