There just aren't many singers (at all) that sound (and look) as good as her. Period, son. Her songs are simply amazing. I am 31 years old and just a country boy from Tennessee, but I know Crystal is the "high class country girl"... The only other singers who remotely come close to having her voice quality in my opinion are Allison Krauss and Jewel. I enjoy Tammy Wynette too however, but no one will take the place of Crystal, ever !

What is also great about her is that she appears very humble and does not seem to have any arrogance in her. When people are beautiful inside,it is easier to see the outer beauty.

This is such a beautiful song and such a beautiful singer. Her music simply transcends time. She has the greatest voice of any female artist I have ever heard. She was one of my few bright spots growing up from the mid 1970's to the late 1980's. I had a tremendous crush on this woman and still do. Her music will be etched in my soul forever. This song was in two Asian movies. The first one being the Korean blockbuster Shiri in 2000 and the next was the Hong Kong action film Dragon Squad in 2005. Very cool!

I Can't remember the titles. But since you have posted your comment there has been three short independent low budget movies that had this song. Song wasnt directly used. But can be heard playing low in the background. The movie is not nearly as well known as Shiri because these 3 movies all featured actors not well known. Also the movies didn't even played any movie theaters in Korea. Only way for you to seen any of these movies was to purchase the DVD from the production companies directly.

But I listen to my songs more than I see their videos. It's the rendition which is more important and not the singer herself.

And that's why it's lame that when one listens to Shakira, he has Shakira in mind. When I listen to Carol Kidd or Beth Gibbons, I have my love in my mind.

I found the Carole Kidd version online. Truthfully, I wasn't all that impressed. She sings it very nicely but you never really get the impression she is truly aching over someone she loves, as you do in Crystal's version. And of course, Crystal is a strikingly beautiful, graceful woman, which only enhances the lyrics and feel of this song.
