  • Vinyl might be dead, but please, don't kill the 303 and 909!

  • Vinyl might be dead, but please, don't kill the 303 and 909, please

  • ohhhh vinyl ohh vinyl. for gods sake. why don't you become wax cylinder purists. or why don't you insist that the music isn't *genuine* unless some bloke actually sings the song in a pub. Look innovation is literally *the* best thing about music. New music - innovation. New tech - innovation.

  • the best cybertrance is on CD, the best house is, and will always be, on vinyl

  • heh, awesome mate, thats what it was meant to be for...

deejayin on the beach, deejayin in a car, etc etc etc etc

  • but 2000 mf**ing 8 digital shit sounds primitive

  • The vinyl argument should have been over a long time ago. We don't listen to a DJ because he is/isn't spinning on vinyl, we listen to them because of the tracks they mix together and the concept they communicate within the mix. We need more sites like Beatport and more high-quality digital releases. Hawtin is about pushing the limits of what we can do as DJs. Take a lesson.

  • +1 *thumbs up* totally agree with you.

  • got over that thing 2 days ago and bought myself Traktor... Possibilities track-wise seem to be endless, and therefore partially concept-wise...

    Hail to the 21st century

  • yours is the only comment i intend to read here, who ever said some cliche vinyl crap, we know those are hating a lot, not giving change a chance, that's why vinyl djs are dying and im sort of enjoying it, stubborn dinosaurs.

  • I looove this device. Sadly, if it IS 1000 bucks I wouldn't buy it. I don't think I'd pay more than 500, but it is certanily sweet.

  • welcome to the future!

    pacemaker finally kills vinyl.

i would choose the pacemaker, instead of hundreds of vinyls.

  • what the fuck, the pacemaker isnt the thing that killed vinyl, just like that, LOL

first, cdj's killed vinyls way more than that, but even then, vinyls never will be dead, there still out there for people who needs them, people who are already used to vinyls, or ppl who scratch IMO

    don't be silly ;)

  • il vinile deve sopravvivere!!

  • richie likes it, so shut up

  • A M A Z I N G ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

  • electronic music came on vinyl...gadgets like this make pseudo dj's....mixing Britney spears with jay Lo :S .....

  • trust me, in the hands of someone like Hawtin -- or even Zabiela -- something like this will revolutionize djing, not hinder it.

  • tis a nice gadget, but for all us purists vinyl will never be replaced

  • Vinyl for life... screw this product. If I saw a DJ using this in a club, I would demand my money back. The most boring technology to come to DJing in years.

  • People said the same thing about vinyl when it replaced live musicians, world keeps on turning...

  • Sorry dude, vinyl's era is ending. No more crates to bring anymore.

  • ... and the combover?

  • how much are these going for and is there an official date they will be coming out?

  • list price is $1000 from what i've seen. WAY too much. the iPod will be able to do this eventually... and all you'll have to do is download new software. if they want to seriously market this, they can't charge 1000 for it. i don't care what it does.

  • $1000 is less than half the cost of 2 Pioneer CDJ 1000's and a mixer, so if you think about it, its actually a really smart choice for DJs looking to save money and pack light.

  • since when does richie hawtin have a german accent?

  • I wouldn't say he sounds German in that video, but he has moved to Berlin so...

Still, not sure what the hell is going on there.

  • i think it comes with the scarf.
