Just a little tip from a guy who has drummed for 11 years now.

Tighten the toms up a tidge and cut the stick down about a half inch to an inch.

Also with tiny drummers like she is it's better to bring the set to her instead of making her move to the set. So try scooting everything closer to her. itll help tonns

yo little dudette :) keep playing and you will be the bomb some day,, wish i started at your age :) only advice i wangt to give you is this: try and possition your toms in a smaller circle, that way you wont have to turn around your whole body when you want to make a roll over all your toms (makes it a lot easyer) keep it up :)

You got to train fill - ins and you must hit the base drum when you hit the crash. Don´t play the same thing. Work on your timing. Don´t say comeon she´s only 8 y old, then see jacob armen when he´s 7 y old.

the high hat is supposed to be a bit lower, but great. you should try to hit the drums a little bit harder, just to get a certain feel to it. and try not to add some random rolls to it. and dont try to just hit as many drums as you can in one go. try to make it steady and with feeling. but overall, i give you props. ;]

Get "Stick Control" by George Lawrence Stone. Get a metronome.  Then practice everyday for a minimum of one hour. More if possible.

She sorta lacks a sense of rhythm... very tense and totally unrelaxed as she plays. Practice way more every day, and please, don't listen to your giggly mom who needs to tell you to practice harder, not how great you are.

Hey your pretty good, but when you do the drum fill, try hitting each drum equally 4 time...I play the drums but I don't have myself taped yet...I have a bunch of stupid videos really. Oh and try doing 3 bass hits! YOu know like instead of the 2 beat you do...

Those drums are the perfect size as she will grow comfortably into them :-) However I see she has some sheet music.  This tends to cause kids to lose timing because they are trying to remember all the notation. All she needs is to practice. Tony Royster now 22 says that one hour per day is all he has ever done as a kid.
