One of the best game series EVER made! Now that big finish games own the IP I hope they finish it off. If they spend a lot of time on the script, stay true to the Tex style of narrative and market the game right i think it could do well. The mainstream have all but forgotten about games like this and even though it is so old it will be a breath of fresh air from all the games major publishers churn out these days. Brb buying 5 cards to midnight to fund a new Tex game!

I read that the rights holder to Tex Murphy changed hands a few times, and the current owner is not interested in making any of these games (so it nothing to do with Chris Jones). Times have changed and these games don't sell anymore; kids want fast-paced non-thinking Xbox or Wii challenges instead.

I loved these games (this one was my favourite) and wished for so long that another installment would get made...but I guess that's like waiting for the release of Duke Nukem Forever!

@GrubcoTV3 As of 2009, Jones and Conners re-acquired the IP for Tex, including all the old games. They were offered up for sale on GOG a short while after that. Beyond that, and a few hints from Jones that he's interested in revisiting the characters, there's been nothing official since then. Hopefully, the next Tex game won't end up an object hunt game like their recent releases.

THE most tremendous pc game ever made, just awesome. Good and excitement history with lots of clever quests. So sad that no one ever kept this game alive, and continued this great story. Imagine Tex Murphy in HD wow
