  • That red fry he's wearing looks a bit like a jacket

  • Its Fry telling some of the story and Stimpy telling some of the story.

  • Billy West voiced the greatest character ever; 'Stimpy...'

  • Billy quit the greatest show of all time (Howard Stern, circa 1994) to be a cartoon robot on a short lived show on Fox. Fuck you Billy West. I see your agent got all your money and you have to work the comic book circuit. You make me sick.

  • @faffaflunkie Awhahhh? He never quit. The show was canceled. Then it was renewed, and he's still doing the voices for the characters.

  • @exactomacto I'm referring to the demise of "Futurama" on network TV where voice actors (sweet work) can get upwards of $20,000 per episode. "Adult Swim" and dot.coms don't count. You see he (Billy) has to work weekends to make ends meet. I just hope someone validated his parking.

  • @faffaflunkie howard had a problem judging peoples "worth", he has a huge ego and by letting billy west walk and then jackie he was saying 'this is my show, this was my idea, i dont need you guys and can get other guys to do your work and will be just as successful, watch me" . he is so stubborn that he let his show slip into a steady decline to prove a point. if howard were still smart he would hire both jackie and billy back for whatever the cost and the show wolud be as big as before.

  • @Marsdevilsvolta Howard had nothing to do with what his radio station WXRK paid people. Howard even offered to have "Super Agent" Don Buchwald negotiate for Jackie, even though it was a clear conflict of interest and could have (as events have unfolded would definitely have) cost Howard big money in the long run. Howard's show is terrible now. Sirius found out you can't pay a radio guy a half a billion dollars because it saps the incentive to get up at 4:00 am and prepare for a four hour show.

  • @faffaflunkie we agree on the state of the show today, but howard had everything to do with it back then, there were many options for howard and there is no doubt he couldve had them stay if. howard threatened to take his show to another radio station i believe they would have paid up and if not he wouldve gotten the money needed elsewhere. it might have even been more lucrative we dont know. sure jackie was stupid, but howards attitude and ego are what really has killed the show.

  • @Marsdevilsvolta About three weeks ago Howard discussed in detail for the first time the circumstances of Jackie's departure from the show. I don't bother to record the show anymore- I used to record all his shows on FM- but basically Jackie was delusional. Howard does not negotiate himself, however Jackie's wife Nancy negotiated for Jackie. This was fine for Jackie's club appearances but she was seriously outgunned going up against CBS radio. Howard did the best he could to keep Jackie anyway.

  • @faffaflunkie i agree jackie was delusional and he made a huge career mistake. he put everyone in a tough spot and if i remember was contacting the show a month after it all went down to try and get his job back. i could also understand that howard would still be pissed to this day. we have to agree to disagree, i believe howard did do everything he thought he could at the time, but if that were robin you know howard wouldved done more, hed done it for him before. just pissed it ended i guess.

  • @Marsdevilsvolta I was more disappointed about Billy. Had Billy hung on at WXRK he could have named his own price at SIRIUS. Howard has his agent do all his negotiating. I don't see how Jackie's crawling back later to get his old job back has anything to do with anything- the station fired Jackie, not Howard. If you remember the FCC was breathing down Howard's neck and the station was paying millions in fines to keep the show on the air. Had Howard walked they probably would have locked him out.

  • I so want to get his autograph! on a picture of the professor!

  • you can hear fry even when he's talkin as himself... crazy.lol

  • It is known that fry i based off many people.

    1. A man that was murdered a little before futurama was created.

    2. Michael j Fox, or the average kid from the 1980s and 1990's

    3. the creator

    4. his clothing is based off of a gangster character from a 60's movie

    5. finally, a loner and loser, but seems to get a lot of sex

  • @growlingdog222 about 4, i always thought he was wearing the james dean costume from "rebel without a cause".

    i might be wrong though

  • i always though fry was based on the creator "Matt Groening" but the way he is dressed and talk and acts. i based of billy west =/ or a realy dum verstion of Micheal j. Fox

  • He also played the Hulk and was stunt double for David Hasselhoff in season five of the A-team!

  • why can't people ask him to do some Jackie Puppet... fuck..

  • Billy West (and Fry especially) sound like Marty McFly from Back To The Future.

  • @ChickenPissInTheRoad Yeah, that's exactly what I thought! Michael J. Fox is great, as is Billy of course.

  • Mistuh West!

  • I miss his Marge Schott voice, some of the funniest shit ever

  • Billy actually happens to be one of my favorite voice actors.

  • That red jacket he's wearing looks a bit like Fry.

  • Hehe I was just going to say that!! :D

  • i love his Fryish style too =ç=

  • What a legend.

  • 2 words "voiceacting god"

  • That's actually 3 words. "Voice Acting" is two words...

  • wutever

  • billy west is awesome

  • he's so awesome!

wonder what it's like to hang out with him?

Check out the video I posted :)

  • me reminds me of a cross between conan obrian and m j fox.

  • me reminds me too

  • he reminds me*

  • man.. he sounds so much like micheal j fox!

  • the dude is 56. he totally doesn't look it though, does he?

  • He really is?

I thought he would be in his early 30's.

  • i would've thought so too. but his birthday was in April 1951. he's 56. he's actually older than my parents.

i think it's cause his voice is so high and he voices such young characters, it makes him seem younger. but yea, i was amazed too.

  • Love this guy. His voices are amazing and I love how his normal voice sounds just like Fry.

  • Classic.

  • He's dressed like Frye, isn't he? ;) He does such a great job with all those voices. I love Futurama.

  • It's odd watching him fiddle with his head shots as he talks. I guess he has some tick when telling a story. A good story though nonetheless.

  • I noticed that too. OCD?

  • Mehhh, I dunno. He talks with his hands, so he fiddles with 'em... I doodle when I talk on the phone... just something to keep you focused on talking rather than on what's around you, probably. You have to be a little manic doing the level of voices he does.

  • True. He is very good at what he does.

  • they say that using hand gestures ('gesticulations' they call it, sounds wrong right?) is an indication of high intelligence. Anyways it was weird how he kept fiddling with his headshots.

  • Gesticulations is a hybrid of "gestures" and "articulations", so it's accurate. I've never heard that before-- the fact of talking with hands being synonymous with intelligence. If that's the case, I'm a freakin' genius. ;)

  • Don't know if any of you saw the 20/20 show that studied people and the hand gestures they use when they talk. They were asked a series of questions first, then asked a second series while sitting on their hands. 80% had noticeable trouble responding quickly or in detail when they couldn't use their hands. It's a very NORMAL thing, using gestures and moving your arms helps many of us think more effectively.

  • Funny stuff!

  • i think i saw it on tv when it aired on sky one over here in the uk

  • nice video thanks for posting this

btw which episode of futurama was shatner in ?

  • The episode was "Where no fan has gone before"

  • @shadowwing77 nimoy never cared what he did he said in an interveiw that it is just a job

  • @makutateridax20 but shatner is another story you have to pay him to play someone other than jim kirk
