  • You might need to put the camera on a hat or a hat cam so it would Catch the plane more

  • How does it handle wind? I have a micro plane that I can only fly at night because the smallest breeze sends it flying of course.

  • @cspadawan1990 To be honest I dont know. I didn't keep the cub long enough to find out.

Im still a micro plane person.

I just bought a Lightflite Bug, so Im close to trying it out.

  • @cspadawan1990 My mini doesn't really care about the wind so long as its not above 8mph, which is relatively good for a plane that size.

  • I just bought this plane! very cool!

  • hell yes this is the easy to fly. any one can fly it.

  • Is this an easy plane to fly?

  • what is better forjust messing around, a mini supercub or a cessna 210 centurion (micro) i just want something easy, but with good control and relatively low speed

  • The PZ Cessna 210 is much better for puttering around in the yard.

I have the Kyosho Edge, Christen Eagle, and Flybaby.

Also the ParkZone Cessna 210, Citabria, and Vapor. But the Cessna is my favorite micro.

Im going to buy a Kyosho Clipped Wing Cub soon.

  • so do you think id have a better experiance if i went with a micro rather than the mini? (i will be oudoors, grocery store parking lot) my problem with it is that its like the same price (within $20) of the mini supercub which i like the looks of better thanks for your help, i appreciate it

  • u got this thing for 120? at the Hobbytownusa store near me sells it for 100

  • Oh well you will have ample room in a parking lot for the mini cub. And it will be better handling for any wind.

In this situation I would go for the Cub. I would turn off the auto pilot though.

  • i tend to agree. and i like the supercub shape alot, i think the micro may be too unstable. that will certainly play a role in my final decission

  • i have a super cub mini for sale

  • i just bought mine. what do you want for yours, my friend is going to get an rc plane, if your price is right he might get a cub

  • The Cessna 210.

I really like this plane as you can fly slow and close to you.

The Cessna 210 is so light if you fly it in the yard it survives crashes very well.

  • is it better to have tricycle landing gear? like should you take that into account when you buy an rc plane?

  • Yes, tricycle gear is easier than a tail dragger.

  • It's good to see that it does fly relatively slow! :-)

  • It was ok. I personally like the Parkzone and Kyosho micros.

  • i have the larger version that has the landing gear. i like this plane because its great for beginners like me because i wouldnt want an expensive, hard to reapir planes when i am crashing as much as i do. it is an extremely durable aircraft. i have had some pretty violant crashes that took off the entire back fuselage but all i need is some packing tape to fix it and its like its brand new again. what i dont like are the frequent engines stalls and the high speed (it tends to get away from me).

  • The engine stalls will be the ACT kicking in. Turn it off.

  • I'm experiencing engine stalls aswell, but it's just a matter of half a secound and it turns on again. That's with the ACT OFF. Got a clue about what could be wrong? PS: watch my cub videos :)

  • Very nice. I've got one of the bigger HZ supercubs, but I don't dare keep it that low to the ground unless I have to... Great birds. I may have to get one of their 4 channelers like the Corsair.

  • The Super cubs are great planes. I prefer smaller planes so I can fly close to me.

Im going mostly Parkzone & Kyosho micros now.

  • you should keep it low to the ground because it is like 3 times windier up there. i just learned my lesson by keeping it to high and then it getting out of reception area for my transmitter. long story short it ran out of battery and glided off. i cant find it know. the wind was at about 3 knots and 9 knots up there. it was a good plane while it lasted. well whatever thats life. :(

  • Parkzone mini super cub RTF

  • _?_

  • no hobbyzone

parkzone and hobbyzone are both by Horizon Hobby though

  • wow look at the views! i havent seen this for a while. im really the 2hyperboys guy with a new account. But since then i bought it flown it and crashed it but its a tough bugger. p.s. check out my channel

  • I guess its due to the plane is new and there is only a few videos of it.

I sold mine and started a fleet of Parkzone micros.

Cessna 210, Citabria, Vapor, CX2 and I have a Kyosho Flybaby coming from the UK.

  • i got this plane as a gift i liked it but it nose dived idk way it just cut out and then i charged the battery fo 40 mins like they say to and then the battery blew up this plane is very fun but that kinda scared me that plane was done so i got a new one so iam goin to keep the old one as parts plz tell me if this is a common thing with this model

  • I would have called Hobbyzone and explained to them what has happened. This is the first I have heard of this problem but this is a new airplane and theres not much info on them yet.

I know someone who wants to buy one without the electrics on rcgroups right now if you would want to sell yours.

  • i'm definantly getting this! Thanks 4 the advice. Once i get good enough at this i'll sell it the buy then buy the standerd.

  • I have enjoyed it but I love the Parkzone micros better. Cessna 210, Citabria, and Vapor.

And Parkzone is coming out with a 4ch 3D plane next year.

I am buying another Cessna 210 today. Probably put the Mini Super Cub up for sale later.

  • Could you post the link to your rcgroups review, cant find it

  • Its in the Beginner Traning Area (Electric) Forum.

Mini-Review - Hobbyzone Mini Super Cub RTF thread by 34Ford.

    Cant post a link.

  • how do you think it would fly even with some snow on the ground??

  • How would it compare to the regular size one?

    plz respond

  • i'm think'n about gettin this is it good quality?

  • Yes it is good quality. The wing and tail are laminated and their surface is hard. Very tough. I have flown into a barb wire fence and a Charter cable running between poles and it looks great.

I did a review on rcgroups.

  • I heard it is very easy to accidently plug the lipo battery in backwards and if that happens it isnt a good thing. Do you find this true or do you find it easy to plug the battery in?

  • How did you know that? Yes it is. I burned up one brick so I sold the plane without the electrics.

And then I bought another one. :)

Need to put matching colors stickers on the lipo plug to make it easy to catch that.

  • hey, how long is the flying duration of the battery u get with it?

somone said it needs to be charged every 5-7 mins???

  • If you flew it wide open that may be all you will get.

But I fly slow and I get close to 20 minutes.

  • thanks! looks like i will be buying one tomorrow then :)

  • Nice. Do you think I should get this or the sky fly 2? I cant decide.

  • Depends on your flying experience.

The Sky Fly looks a lot like the Easy Star but it dont have landing gear.

I would say the Sky Fly is a great trainer.

rcgroups forums have a lot of good info on them.

  • The Sky fly is junk!

  • Are u talking about the Sky Fly or the Sky Fly 2 and why do u say so?

  • ??? I fly the Sky Fly all the time. The thing flys like a charm. It's so easy t control I flew it in front of my house.. I don't even have to go to the park anymore.
