Just that ONE tip from Les Stroud taught people more about survival than the ENTIRE run of Bear Gryll's crappy show. While the needle is huge, it CAN be used as a last resort suture. I figure making a paste out of juniper leaves or berries to kill as much bacteria as possible before use.
