  • the marine in the beginning of the video was in surviving the cut: sapper school

  • 2 more years and this will be me

  • yea i like how they neglect to mention that 60% of the job is minesweeping and ied detection

  • @ballowece Dont forget trench digging!

  • @ballowece sounds good to me

  • I want to be a combat engineer so freaking i should be sworn in by jan pumped has hell to join the USMC

  • silly grunt, explosions are for engineers.

    proud 1371 here. 1st CEB

  • One of my recruiters described Marine Combat engineers as being a Landscaper with C4

  • this marine was on Surving The Cut for Army Sapper school

  • Hey! How high do you have to score on the asvab to be a Combat Engineer and another question, is this under infantry?

  • @MrChestypuller1775 it's under engineer, not infantry. I believe you have to have a 95 score

  • @JosiahRobertson oh damn.. i might just go 0311 then.. i have to see how high i score on my asvab to be able to know which job i want thx

  • @JosiahRobertson Is 95 high? I was looking at 03xx too, but this looks pretty cool as well.

  • i think he made up the word cratering.

  • I want to blow things up and construct them but looking for mines?? Hell no . What should I do ?

  • @Jstfm1 how do you know when you go to bct if your still havent decided between ceb and infantry, btw im army ce and i go to basic in jan, also nice vid marines.

  • @KingCobrazz In the ARMY you are guaranteed to be in a CE unit,if that's what u sign up for.U go to osut with almost everybody being 21b boys and some bridge crew member trainee, after osut u'r going to a EN Company or EN bn,but mosly a company size sopporting a IN- bn. EN unit are realy small cz a lot of them wil get in trouble, get kicked out b4 deployment,as long as you stay w' the line plt u'll see combat, that means not a gopper pyle type.Remember this, there is only 1 sapper company in a BDE.

  • How do you get into CEB? I am having a tough decision on picking my MOS, I wan't to be a combat engineer but only if i get to be in CEB. What would I have to do to have a greater chance to be in CEB? I am just stuck in the decision between Infantry and Combat engineer. I go to basic in January.

  • sounds fun

  • i heard combat engineers are pretty much infantrymen that know how to build things and how to blow things up. is that true?

  • @AmericanGMS Yes its true, Combat Engineers are trained as infantrymen. Although getting deployed with infantry units depends on what pipeline your in... there are three different ones. The 1st is the CEB (Combat engineer battalion) their deployed with infantry battalions and work closely with the Marine EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) Techs. The Air Wing pipeline works on the runways and such. The last one is the ESB (Engineer Support Battalion) which does all your construction work.

  • @CookingwithVictoria I am interested in Combat Engineer, but mainly in CEB only. Does a Combat Engineer have any choice of where they are assigned? wish list? or a gamble just like everything else?

  • @VBH8888 I'm not 100% sure... however I do know that the Marine Corps bases where you go on three things:

    1. Performance at bootcamp, and MCT (Marine Combat Training)

    2. Where they need you the most (Each MOS has "slots", and once they are all filled up for that year no one else can go into that MOS. October and November are the best months to request a MOS because that is when the new slots for all the MOS's open up for that year.

    3. Your ASVAB score. So score high... :)

    Hope this helps!

  • @VBH8888 it is a gamble, i get my orders this monday. praying for CEB

  • @AmericanGMS there are three different divisions of combat engineers. There is the CEB which is Combat Engineer Battalion. They Usually will be attatched to infantry units and do more of the domolition side of things. ESB which is Engineer support battalion, will do more construction, rout clearance and convoy security. And then there is MAW which is Marine Air Wing, They usually stay on the air wings and repair any buildings or roads they have there.

  • @AmericanGMS Oorah! (means HELL YEAH)

  • @AmericanGMS NO they are grunts that have the dubious privilege to be on point for patrols with a metal detector built by the cheapest bidder, looking for mines and ieds that are about 50" inches away....sounds good doesnt i...yea not so much

  • @AmericanGMS Kinda. Combat engineers construct, alter, repair, and maintain buildings and structures; lift and move heavy objects and equipment by setting up, bracing, and utilizing rigging devices and equipment; and perform various duties incidental to the use of demolitions in construction projects and destruction of objects. Personnel assigned this MOS are taught carpentry and other construction skills as well as demolitions, specialized demolitions for urban breaching and land mine warfare

  • @AmericanGMS yes it is

  • I come in peace. I didn’t bring artillery. But I’m pleading with you, with tears in my eyes: If you fuck with me, I’ll kill you all.

  • Thank u marines for all of your support and I hope to be in here soon.

  • @Stickman1699 me too

  • @Stickman1699 go bless. me 2
