ਜਗਾ ਦੇ ਮੋਮਬੱਤੀਆਂ ਇਹ ਤਾਂ ਏਥੇ ਵਗਦੀਆਂ ਹੀ ਰਹਿਣੀਆਂ ਹਵਾਵਾਂ ਕੁਪੱਤੀਆਂ ਉੱਠ ਜਗਾ ਦੇ ਮੋਮਬੱਤੀਆਂ ਹਨੇਰ ਨਾ ਸਮਝੇ ਕਿ ਚਾਨਣ ਡਰ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਰਾਤ ਨਾ ਸੋਚੇ ਕਿ ਸੂਰਜ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਬਾਲ ਜੋਤਾਂ ਜਿੰਦਗੀ ਦੇ ਮਾਣ ਮੱਤੀਆਂ ਉੱਠ ... ਮੰਨਿਆ ਕਿ ਰਾਜ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਦਾ ਹਠੀਲਾ ਪਰ ਅਜੇ ਜੀਊਂਦਾ ਏ ਕਿਰਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਕਬੀਲਾ ਕਾਲਿਆਂ ਸਫਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਸਤਰਾਂ ਲਾਲ ਰੱਤੀਆਂ ਉੱਠ .. ਪੌਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਧ ਰਹੀ ਵਿਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਨਾ ਡਰਦੇ ਬਿਰਖ ਬੂਟੇ ਰੋਜ਼ ਆਪਣਾ ਕਰਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਜਿਹਰ ਨੂੰ ਅਮ੍ਰਿਤ ‘ਚ ਬਦਲੀ ਜਾਣ ਪੱਤੀਆਂ ਉੱਠ .. ਵਾਵਰੋਲੇ ਉਠਦੇ ਹੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਨੇ ਤੱਤੇ ਪੱਤਝੜਾਂ ਨੇ ਝਾੜ ਦੇਣੇ ਆਕੇ ਪੱਤੇ ਪਰ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਮਤਲਬ ਇਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿ ਪੁੰਗਰਨ ਨਾ ਪੱਤੀਆਂ ਉੱਠ..

i m reading surjit patar's poetry from childhood...he is always amazing..and this poem is lovely,amazing one of the best punjabi poems i have ever heard in my life..god bless him...he is a diamond of punjabi poetry...
