i have had my iPhone 3gs since it came out. charge it every night, and it last from when i take it off the charger at 6:20 am to around 4:00-5:00 pm and i text, tweet, read emails, and listen to music. 2 year old phone and i am happy to say that mine has no problems what so ever. the reason most peoples' phones die so quickly is because they play games all day, or have it so the screen brightness is all the way up. use it for the essentials and play games when its on the charger, simple:)

The reason most peoples iphone batteries r shit is bcuzz those ppl r dumbasses...

When u first buy anything tht runs on recharchable battery packs first drain the battery completely (most times it has a lil battery to test it) then charge the device for 12 straight hours with no interruptions...

If u did this for iphone then u should hav an 8 hour battery... If u didnt do this DONT CONPLAIN FOR U FRIGGIN ERROR.

For the people that have Verizon and CAN NOT turn of their 3G download an app called LTE OnOff (even without a 4g phone) and open that and hit CDMA only and that will use 1X aka 2G network and EvDo will run only 3G and CDMA auto (PRL) goes between which ever is available

True but when you charge the battery until 100% then take off the charger will be fine. If leave the charger so long, the battery may drain very fast like I did . You should know what to do. Ok sure.

I usually get just over 3:30 in my battery when it becomes red...everything turned off but wifi and 3G. Sometimes I forget location services is on and that decreases my time by like 10-20 minutes. I use YouTube a lot which is think is the main problem :P!
