I'm not sure why people are getting in a huff about the so-called "rules", there's plenty of original material out there that wasn't made by Mr. Romero (of whom I am a fan), and predates his work (of which I am a fan too). Why not go for the "rules" where zombies can talk and only eat brains? Make new rules and make this film.

people often talk about zombie rules and how this has broken the zombie code by having zombies in gangs and having weapons. if zombie rules were always followed then we would be stuck in the past with night of the living dead type of zombies(stiff and slow moving). change is good
We do not claim it to be a zombie movie and you are wrong, the "zombies" in 28 days later aren't really zombies at all, but it was still more successful then most zombiefilms. Successful is an objective term, if your subjective view upon it is that every attempt that doesn't follow the "rules" is a bad movie without ever seeing it, well, again, that's your subjective view.

why is everybody sick about the weapons ? If I remember my english lessons quite well, "infected" means kind of people hurt by a virus, not rising deads... Nice job, swedish movies are not so common so hang on it looks sympathic !

Who made the rules about what a certain kind of monster should be like? Another is why people need to defend it? A third question is how boring this world would be if every movie or story never evolve beyond the elitism of monster lore? All stories does not work with the traditional set of "rules" and especially not this one. If everything was according to what fans of zombies "demand" you would have yet another "Walking Dead" and that's not being very original when creating fiction.
@ConstantProduction What's the point of making them zombies if you are giving them weapons? What is stopping them from operating an auto mobile? Going further, what is stopping them from maintaining a functioning society?
Think about how stupid of an idea that sounds. THAT is why we leave some monsters alone, as you should zombies. Don't fix it if it ain't broke.

This one looks very interesting...idk about the weapons and the fact that they are coordinated but then again Day of the Dead was an excellent movie so im expecting this one to be good...at least its no 'Land of the Dead' now that was a terrible take on smart zombies. can anyone tell me any more great zombie movies to llok up? I'll give you a few 'La Horde' (French Zombie Movie) and Berlin Undead (German Zombie Movie).

Kom nu inte med zombies är påhittade, ordet kommer ju från en mytologisk figur och om de inte beter sig som den figuren från myten slutar de inte vara den figuren och blir någoting annat? Och om det är en sjukdom som gör dem till zombies varför ruttnar dem som om de vore döda? Det är ju s**t konstigt!
