That dress is constructed within an inch of its life...What was Karen's inspiration for the design? It is quite beautiful. Now for the shoes - look to Manolo Blahnik or Christian Louboutin.
Both make a great black lace shoe that would compliment the dress. Find them at Barneys - tell Peggy. MHR
I love the bodice, so feminine! I wonder if that was fitted on her with pins before sewing or by measurements? This dress is just gorgeous!! Your wife has amazing talent. She could charge a small fortune for this dress. The bride is going to be so chic and lovely!
Peggy will be as natural and beautiful as condensed droplets of frozen crystals suspended in the atmosphere above the surface of the Earth. When she moves across the dance floor it will look like She and he Beau were nudged by an ocean breeze.
I can't remember the vlog but I remember disagreeing with you on the topic of quality of garments. I buy inexpensive clothes and shun brand names for the most part. I do know one thing--your wife knows quality and that dress could sell for $4,000 and it has an unknown designer.
Karen, your hard work makes the dress look simply beautiful~! I hope Peggy looks fabulous in it and congratulations to her. I have been enlisted to help my daughter sew a dress from looking at pictures of a video game. They call it 'cosplay'. It's been a challenge to find materials that will emulate what the character is wearing and make it fit. It has panels separated by large zippers and needs the stays that you have incorporated in your lovely dress.
That dress gets more beautiful each time, and I didn't think it could get any prettier. It sways so fluidly, it will really be a compliment to a dancer. The hemline (if that's what it's called) is delicate but really pulls the whole thing together. Can't wait to see Peggy wearing it!
wow, not only intricate to make but so much thought went into the construction based on the person wearing it; as you put it the functionality. Absolutely beautiful and I cannot wait to see the video w/Peggy in it on her wedding day. i too was thinking what kind of flowers and shoes. Thank you Tom and karen!(oh and looking forward to the floor cloth re-do)
that is a beautiful dress!

I think it should have its true video debut on THE day. A blushing bride always brings out the very best in her dress!

I agree. No need to preview this until it's worn in all its glory!
