  • that is a beautiful dress!

  • That dress is constructed within an inch of its life...What was Karen's inspiration for the design? It is quite beautiful. Now for the shoes - look to Manolo Blahnik or Christian Louboutin.

Both make a great black lace shoe that would compliment the dress. Find them at Barneys - tell Peggy. MHR

  • WOW! This is gorgeous, omg. I can't wait to see it in action - and, oh yes, there will be somersaults!

  • Hey...is this the birthday girl??? Pretty nice, isn't it?

  • This is indeed the birthday girl! This dress is unbelievable. I can't wait for this celebration, it's going to be beautiful and amazing!

  • wow, I've made a corset before- it was so fiddly! This is such an epic project, it looks beautiful!

  • I know I'm biased but my girl does some amazing work!

  • The technical details don't interest me much, but that dress is gorgeous.

  • I think it should have its true video debut on THE day. A blushing bride always brings out the very best in her dress!

  • I agree. No need to preview this until it's worn in all its glory!

  • I love the bodice, so feminine! I wonder if that was fitted on her with pins before sewing or by measurements? This dress is just gorgeous!! Your wife has amazing talent. She could charge a small fortune for this dress. The bride is going to be so chic and lovely!

You must be proud of her talents.

  • Karen will respond with details but answer is, it was pin-fitted. I'm simply in awe of what she can do.

  • Bravo to Karen! and to Peggy.

  • That dress is beautiful...It "is" one of a kind!

It looks like it was made for a celebrity :)

    Your wife is soooooo talented,i sure hope we can see Peggy in the dress....10 stars for you wife * * * * * * * * * *

  • Thank you. We will definitely see the bride in this wonderful creation.

  • Absolutely beautiful, Karen.

Peggy will be as natural and beautiful as condensed droplets of frozen crystals suspended in the atmosphere above the surface of the Earth. When she moves across the dance floor it will look like She and he Beau were nudged by an ocean breeze.

  • I can't remember the vlog but I remember disagreeing with you on the topic of quality of garments. I buy inexpensive clothes and shun brand names for the most part. I do know one thing--your wife knows quality and that dress could sell for $4,000 and it has an unknown designer.

  • Karen, your hard work makes the dress look simply beautiful~! I hope Peggy looks fabulous in it and congratulations to her. I have been enlisted to help my daughter sew a dress from looking at pictures of a video game. They call it 'cosplay'. It's been a challenge to find materials that will emulate what the character is wearing and make it fit. It has panels separated by large zippers and needs the stays that you have incorporated in your lovely dress.

  • wow that dress is gorgeous! your wife is so talented and patient! beautiful.

  • Will she be wearing a veil? When is the big day? I bet you'll both cry.

  • Wonderful work Karen!

  • That dress gets more beautiful each time, and I didn't think it could get any prettier. It sways so fluidly, it will really be a compliment to a dancer. The hemline (if that's what it's called) is delicate but really pulls the whole thing together. Can't wait to see Peggy wearing it!

  • That is a beautiful dress. I can't wait to see Peggy dancing in it.

  • i've been waiting for this video. the dress is absolutely beautiful.

  • Very beautiful! Amazing details.

  • The dress is beautiful Karen. Absolutely stunning. You are a very talented seamstress.

  • it turned out fabulously! Karen is very skilled.

  • Wow. Lots of intricate work there! Beautiful. Nice work Karen!

  • wow!

  • wow, not only intricate to make but so much thought went into the construction based on the person wearing it; as you put it the functionality. Absolutely beautiful and I cannot wait to see the video w/Peggy in it on her wedding day. i too was thinking what kind of flowers and shoes. Thank you Tom and karen!(oh and looking forward to the floor cloth re-do)
