  • Stevie Nicks - the girl of my dreams. Is there a more heart-wrenching song than this?

  • Anything, anything Sounds Like Liquid Gold Flowing Out From her Vocal cords. This is 24K. Thank You For Uploading. I would of never been able to hear this.

  • This is a different version...at least at the end when Stevie continues singing. Lindsey sings the end on the album version. I prefer this one. :)

  • Love this song so much!!!!! Thanks for sharing alternate version!!!!!!

  • Look like ordinary recording only, the tune not equalize... the voice of Stevie Nicks it seems like the same voice as Cindy Lauper..

  • breathtaking photos.....

  • im liveing this right now kinda >_<

  • love it ... wished it made the record

  • Michelle, her voice and her words are what make it beautiful. If you don't like it, change the station. We don't need your kind of negativity.

  • New Year's Day 1988? New Year's Eve night, 1987. Not one of the greatest New Year's holiday, huh? :^)

  • I really loved this song as I thought that it spoke to a relationship that I had at the time. I had a "feeling" that it wasn't going to turn out as I hoped. Being dumped on New Year's Eve night a couple of months after I heard this clinched how this as a song I would NEVER forget, even with Stevie's voice not being 100%.

  • @tweener828592 That's a trip - that's exactly how I feel about the song - besides absolutely loving the vocal - so fragile and yet heartbreakingly powerful - I actually had an argument with my "very best friend" on new years day of 1988 and we didn't speak again for over a year. Stevie was singing to me, for me and with me. Her other two tracks on 'Tango in the Night' are also favorite's of mine.

  • wow she takakes some beating

  • she sounds like CRAP!!!

  • @Michele1j Yea well you probably look like crap and I am sure there are a few that still likes you...well..maybe they don't.

  • Tango in the night is a ridiculously good album

  • Beautiful song. There isn't a troll in the world that can change that.

  • Go Stevie Nicks, you know you got all these little commentors on here who couldn't sing in a shower let alone a recording studio !!

  • Well the rock n roll life style, but i must say i have loved her voice when it was at it's purest and even when it was harsh because it was real. Instead of all the singers today who try and make themselves sound better. Please also note she still tour's and sings live after all these years and she is now in her 60's rock on GYPSY.

  • on this album, her voice was shit. i wonder why they chose this song to be on the album. could the arrangement have been better ? did lindsey drop to the ball on this one ?

  • if you have nothing nice to say ..shut the fuck up..ohk??? or are u soo damn perfect? and 'educated " in music? ha ha UNLIKELY...

  • You all do know that this song was done on one of those computerized things...I forgot what they call it... But some of it is her voice and some computerized..

  • her voice is shot.

  • That is because these demos were recorded when Stevie was on the road in 1986 and flying to Mac sessions to give them demos. Her voice during this tour was very harsh.

  • it's called cocaine...near overdoses on the road..etc.

  • You're a cunt. And a jealous one at that.

  • bet you can't even sing so STFU !

  • yeah I'm a fan too...I can't believe they let this go out...on a positive note the Soundstage stuff sounds amazing...

  • I gotta side with those that commented on her voice.

    This coming a Stevie fan.

  • people need to get a life she is still number one in my book lets see you that talk so much crap do any better not i dont think so... comeing from a loyal fan

  • elmer fudd.

  • It's shocking to hear you return to YouTube with your troll account. Life's a bitch, eh?

  • I could have stopped you from wasting your time and told you that myself.

  • lmao you tell em !!!!

  • @Michele1j

outnumbered....can you sing this good? no, didnt think so, go and die.

  • @Michele1j

    TiTWANK

  • It's called cocaine.

  • Absolut Genial diese Version!

    Ramasti from Switzerland.

  • stevie does sound different over the years, but i hope that blood clot lindsey lohan does not play her in a movie that is on the table. stevie does not want her to.

  • I LOVE STEVIE. But does anyone else thinks her voice sounds really different? Like it's sped up like the chipmunks or something. Just in some parts. I love her voice no matter what. I prefer it softer:D xoxoxoxo Stevie

  • i dont think we will ever see this sort of talent again she has it all if they ever toured again no matter where i would be there so let me know if you hear of such cant say no more other than she is superb want to say more but what more can you say she is brilliant

  • They're touring now in the US, and going to tour the UK in October and November.

  • God, I love this song. It's so moving and heartfelt. Stevie's material from "Tango in the night" is always so overlooked, but her three songs on that album were amazing.

  • This sounds like the original version, sound modified through equalizer. Sorry, my two cents.

  • It is basically the original, but there is harmonising through the ending part unlike there is on the album, so I'm guessing this is almost the completed album version and then the band added Lindsey's 'when I see you again... will it be over' parts later.

  • That's very interesting. Other artists have different versions of the same basic song but with complementary sound (voices, instruments or both) added. As a Fleetwood Mac I was happy to run into this post of yours. Thank you; it adds well to who we are culturally.

  • Stevie Nicks is a true Icon, I love her singing voice, she truly one of a kind : )

  • i love this

i love the way her voice breaks, just like the song is saying

  • I prefer this version. The pictures are AMAZING!!!! Where did you get them??? I love the one of Stevie and Lindsey at 2:12.

  • I've just collected them off various sites and I have such a huge collection of Fleetwood Mac photos that I happen to have many from different eras of both Fleetwood Mac's and Stevie's solo careers. I'll upload them on photobucket some time and post the link. :)

  • I really enjoy all of Stevie's songs, some more than others...but they are all great to me. Honestly.

  • I love This Song !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hahahahaha, I love "Sister Honey" in all of its cheesy 80's-ness. But "Alice", "Jane" and "Whole Lotta Trouble" are pretty bad. I do love this song though.

  • Dude, 'Sister Honey' and 'Whole Lotta Trouble' kick ass. And I like 'When I See You Again' just fine. Never understood why everyone always hated it. It's not earth shattering, and it ain't terrible either. It's just fine.

  • Maybe it's just my tastes, but hearing poor Stevie croak and wheedle her way through nearly 30 "What's the matter baby" lines is sad. May I suggest "Ghosts" from TOSOTM as a much more powerful, successful 1980's ballad.

  • It's just your tastes. This song is beautiful beyond words.

  • This My favorite Fleetwood Mac song ..

  • I really wanted to like this song..but : "what's the matter baby" said 30+ times is way too much. And her nasally vocal is weak.

  • I love Stevie - but she's *always* sang nasally. Before the drugs and everything.

  • Thanks for posting this. I had never heard this version. It's a great and somewhat underrated song. Her vocals sound sped up on this one, but I love it. Great pictures as well.

  • Her vocals aren't sped up, they're around the same pitch as the album version. Thank you for commenting though, I agree that it's an underrated song! :D
