@UltimateAveda maybe the game is using the intel graphics, go to the nvidia contro panel and make the game always run with the gt540m,i don't remember exactly where is but, you can find...

@maskavobr23 there's also been a long-living bug in 3D vision that negatively affects the framerate of some games, even when disabled. (but easily fixed by removing the 3D vision driver, which I'd do anyways because items popping out of the screen is more annoying than it is appealing)

I have heard a lot about this 540M graphics card having problems , such as lagging , and how it keeps switching to the Intel HD graphics. Also , the Nvidia website has no drivers for this card.

Please help , by telling me if this is true or not. And if you have ever faced such a problem.

@TRIEproductions The card does not have problems, at least for me.

The people saying the card switches during gameplay are fucking stupid. I got my Asus 2 months ago and it took me 5 min. to figure it out. nVidia contr. panel lets U choose which GPU works with which program.

Also the drivers are there on the site, but sometimes there's an issue with dual GPU laptops, although there is a fix for that (correct "nvwi.inf file), U have to do some searching for that.....

Past that the GPU is A OK!!!!

@ChaosBirth12 Sorry, nope, you can't. It's very laggy. If ultra settings WITHOUT SHADOWS, its smooth. The shadows and shaders if set to ULTRA will make the game lags.

@ChaosBirth12 Wel a acer is a very bad choice for that. If you take a asus with 7200 rpm and a videocard gt540m (1024mb) it will have no problem. Just make sure you have ad least 6 gb ram to catch up some particle shadows or it could get a little laggy. But its possible to run it smooth.

Im no fan of Acer, the reason is that acers are getting really hot and are badly integrated with all components so it doesnt perform as well as it should be doing.

@TheGodDarnit Asus are the best laptops price/qualitie. A 2.0 ghz processor quadcore i7 is more then enof. All games can be played on it. 6 ram with 7200 rpm and then its just the videocard. The asus n55 is a very good laptop.

@ZnEaKySpyNL I searched for an N55 in Estonian shops (e-shops) but none are here, only an N53, costs 200 Euros more than an Acer Aspire 5750g, and only got a better Processor (i7). I won't pay 200 euros more for an i7 processor. Thanks for your help, anyway!

@ChaosBirth12 i have a gt525m, it runs starcraft 2 at 35-40 fps on average on most maps with ultra setting except reflection off and no aa, the only bit that lag is during the cinematic scene in campaign and metalobolise map runs at around 23-31 fps :) no overclock btw and it's with an i3 cpu.
