Not only that, but in China, women work 15 hours a day, and get paid $50 a month, so that you guys can buy your ipods for 4x their monthly income... Steve Jobs didn't invent anything in the 21st century, he just decided what went on the market, and had engineers do all the work. The iPod was invented by Kane Kramer, not Jobs. Don't you guys think that we are dramatizing his death?
Steve was huge and his works will continue to change the world for a long long time. Also note that he didn't create pixar but invested heavily in the young company and became it's CEO which enabled them to invest in full length films which will also have changed the world forever. The ripple of effect of Jobs will never leave the lake because the changes he created will create other changes and so on and on. Thanks Mr. Choi for sharing this!
People need to realise that Steve Jobs didn't create iTunes, modern Mac computers, the iPhone etc. He was the CEO, all that stuff was made by scores of engineers and product designers. He made computers himself in the 80s, not in the 21st Century, That said, he was a very good CEO as he managed to make Apple one of the most valuable companies in the world and put them in such a position of power that no matter what they make or how much better the competition is, people will buy it.

I used to be a winfanatic since windows 95 and the first windows mobile phone in 2001. However, I got my first apple product, an iPod touch 3G two months ago. After jailbreaking it and putting over 200apps on it, I have to say my experience with it has been nothing short of incredible. Steve Jobs was truly a user interface genius.

@memichayz By telling me to go watch some speech he gave his pointless. You know who else gave great speeches that changed the world and the way people think? Hitler, Stalin, etc. Granted, he wasn't trying to take over the world but just because what he said sounded nice, doesn't mean he is nice. If you knew him, you would know he wasn't. A friend of mine, his dad, personally knew Steve Jobs. He lived down the street from him. Guess what he said? He said he was an asshole. My argument = ratified

@joshchan214 This is pointless in discussing with people who blatantly are not going to acknowledge the other statements and think about it. All you are going to do is merely pick apart what I say and manipulate my words so that it makes me look like a bad guy when really I simply wanted to raise to peoples attention that he is not an amazing person and show people eat up peoples deaths and try to make them selves seem righteous by virtually praising his name.

@joshchan214 Maybe you should look at more of what I have said before saying I am not acknowledging other statements. I have said that he has changed some peoples lives, but also ruined others. I have said that some of his products are nice, but most of them I do not like. Lastly, I do not like to look at entrepreneurs as amazing people in general, they will all do whatever they can to get on top. It is what they do when they get to the top that counts.

@Rawson1209 Thats not acknowledging. Thats belittling. changed "some" peoples lives? He changed TONNES. Changed some and ruined others as in ruined more than changed? How many exactly? And who exactly did he ruined? His daughter? They reconciled. His wife? They seemed perfect. His ex-employees? He probably gave them the gold card to their respective fields. That neighbor that lives down the road? I'm sure Mr. Jobs is not the biggest asshole living on that street. Question again, whos amazing?

@joshchan214 Amazing is a statement based on perception, therefore is a pointless question. I may say my dad is amazing and you may disagree. You say Steve Jobs I will disagree. I merely want to point out the fact that this "amazing" person as you put it, is not all he is talked up to be. He never donated, he did very little in designing the products after he started the company, and he was in general an egotistical person. That's all I wanted to say, you were the one who got defensive.

@Rawson1209 If amazing is based on ones perception, and asking someone who is amazing is a pointless question, then the description "amazing" is null. The fact that this person is amazing in the general perception, and that you say otherwise, makes you not in the "general" spectrum. And an amazing person to you is one who donates, designs, and not egotistical?

I used to be a winfanatic since windows 95 and the first windows mobile phone in 2001. However, I got my first apple product, an iPod touch 3G two months ago. After jailbreaking it and putting over 200apps on it, I have to say my experience with it has been nothing short of incredible. Steve Jobs was truly a user interface genius.

@markyourfather ya :) i wish i had one but im the youngest child out of 4 and my family can't afford anything apple because only my dad has a job and he works as a doctor. my mom is polish so she hasn't worked a lot, but she got a job as a journalist, but my dad has stopped working as much as he used to so its not a big change. sorry im telling you everything happening in my life but, thats what i have to say. rest in peace steve jobs, you will be missed
