Listening to this performance I am reminded of Allan Kapprow's writing on Jackson Pollock. Kapprow states, "He was, perhaps, the embodiment of our ambition for absolute liberation and a secretly cherished wish to overturn old tables of crockery and flat champagne. We saw in his example the possibility of an astounding freshness, a sort of ecstatic blindness" (Essays on the Blurring of Art and Life). Do we not also connect to this music in a similar way? ...all of music is now open to us...
Thank you for posting this incredible music. Both are experts at what they do. I enjoyed H. Kleeb's cd of the music of Anthony Braxton.
