@sciullo779 The pushrods were ordered for my 1981 Buick Regal. These parts were listed from all of my receipts for the parts listed. Of course a FI (Fuel Injected) 2.4 Liter DOHC doesnt use push rods. Anybody with a brain knows that. However, a 3800 series Carbureted V6 does and that is what is sitting in my 1981 Regal. I purchased parts for both cars at the same time, so while listing all of the items from the receipts, I mistakenly put push rods in the listing. Anymore questions, bud?

@digmynewsocks Advertised horsepower is a lie because you have BHP (Block Horsepower) and WHP (Wheels Horsepower). All of the BHP or advertised HP never hits the road stock. During the process of relaying power to the wheels through the transmission, a car loses between 17-23 HP. WHP is true HP which is always lower than BHP. The Cavalier Z24 comes stock with a lightweight flywheel and upgraded trans to help this matter. Idk about the Civic. That simple, budd. I know what Im talkin about.

If so, the Si driver was bad, really bad. 08 Si: 2.0L, 6 speed, 197hp, 140lbs/ft, 3000lbs. 0-60: 7.2sec, 1/4: ~15sec '94 Z24 (last year made with v6): 3.1L, 5 speed, 140hp, 185lbs/ft, 2600lbs 0-60: 8.3sec, 1/4mile: 17.3sec (all stats found on google) --------------------- You do the math.

The 2000-2002 had a 2.4 Twin Cam Inline 4 that produced 150bhp 155 ft-lbs, 0-60 roughly little over 7 seconds. Stock runs the 1/4 mile in 15.1xx - 15.2xx. That came from my friends time slip, so dont start a war over this crap again. His time slip says 15.196 and thats a fact. Anyhow, theres your math. Im done here.

For this reason BHP makes a car sound and look bad until you do the math of losing about 20-25 of those horses while the power is converted into inertia that drives the car. Not bashing the Si, but the Z24 is famous for an upgraded factory trans that moves the power more efficiently....

Through in 2-3k in mods and you still pay less than an 08 civic si and can keep up(or possibly beat) it. @jefftabeni16 I used to own a '93 Civic w/ a swapped 1.6L and I blew the doors off a modified Z24 Cavy...I even started in 2nd at the stoplight. I've driven many Cavys and they are beyond slow. Chevy made it right w/ the Cobalt SS, though.

The block is the same as the Dodge 3.0 SOHC, The Mitsu 3.0 SOHC, and the Mitsu 3.0DOHC. So the cars have tons of room for upgrades.
I love the fact that I own one, great A to B, and kills Hondas left and right. With a little time and cash, it could do much more. Not all of them were great granted, but mine has been family owned.

I stepped up to stangs, integs, and cobalts. Not sc! Lol. My car now sits at 145 hp , 145 ft ibs of torque! Civics lose ft ibs of torque even when they come stock!! Cavaliers came 115hp and 115 ft ibs!

i have a ecotec cavalier and i beat integras with 1.6L DOHC ZC motors all the time by a car length and the car had mods and all i have is a straight 2" exhaust. Oh yea and its a sedan.... ha
Actually it's highly possible for a cavalier to beat a civic. I have an 02 cav 2200sfi (rated stock at 115hp and 135f/lbs torque.) Mine when it was stock (5 speed) could take a 5 speed civic si. Not so sure about an 08 but i could take all the older models. My model isn't rated for as much horsepower as the civic but in acceleration horsepower means little. The base model cav motor runs (i believe) over 30f.lbs torque more than the civic si. But the civic runs 10hp more.
@norcobigfootrider you said you could take any model civic? no way. I have an 03 si it's rated at 160 hp and 130(ish)f/lbs torque. There is no way in hell that would get taken by a stock cav 2200sfi... it just wouldn't happen. not to say that an si is all mighty or anything but it just doesn't go down like that.
Well i don't know where you live that an Si's running that power, but here it's only 126hp and 100f/lbs torque here. An SiR on the other hand runs that. But there's few Sir's here, actually i'm not sure if any, i don't think they sold them here.

@sciullo779 The pushrods were ordered for my 1981 Buick Regal. These parts were listed from all of my receipts for the parts listed. Of course a FI (Fuel Injected) 2.4 Liter DOHC doesnt use push rods. Anybody with a brain knows that. However, a 3800 series Carbureted V6 does and that is what is sitting in my 1981 Regal. I purchased parts for both cars at the same time, so while listing all of the items from the receipts, I mistakenly put push rods in the listing. Anymore questions, bud?

They both have better transmissions due to the great OEM flywheels that the Cavaliers have, plus the Cavalier is a Dual Cam compared to a Single Cam Civic Si. Duh, the Cavalier wins. Simple as that. @digmynewsocks Advertised horsepower is a lie because you have BHP (Block Horsepower) and WHP (Wheels Horsepower). All of the BHP or advertised HP never hits the road stock. During the process of relaying power to the wheels through the transmission, a car loses between 17-23 HP. WHP is true HP which is always lower than BHP. The Cavalier Z24 comes stock with a lightweight flywheel and upgraded trans to help this matter. Idk about the Civic. That simple, budd. I know what Im talkin about.

The 2000-2002 had a 2.4 Twin Cam Inline 4 that produced 150bhp 155 ft-lbs, 0-60 roughly little over 7 seconds. Stock runs the 1/4 mile in 15.1xx - 15.2xx. That came from my friends time slip, so dont start a war over this crap again. His time slip says 15.196 and thats a fact. Anyhow, theres your math. Im done here.

For this reason BHP makes a car sound and look bad until you do the math of losing about 20-25 of those horses while the power is converted into inertia that drives the car. Not bashing the Si, but the Z24 is famous for an upgraded factory trans that moves the power more efficiently....

Through in 2-3k in mods and you still pay less than an 08 civic si and can keep up(or possibly beat) it. Not saying its better as the SI has more potential but just cause you throw money in a car doesnt mean you spent more in total.

No, a base model Shadow is a piece of shit.
But the ES's were actually pretty nice.
And with a swapped Mitsubishi 3.0 SOHC, they haul ass.
The block is the same as the Dodge 3.0 SOHC, The Mitsu 3.0 SOHC, and the Mitsu 3.0DOHC. So the cars have tons of room for upgrades.
I love the fact that I own one, great A to B, and kills Hondas left and right. With a little time and cash, it could do much more. Not all of them were great granted, but mine has been family owned.

I get what you are saying. I mostly said all that up there because he said he can beat a Mustang. And well, most of the mustangs out now are only a 4.6 or a V6. because the 5.0 disappeared for a while. That's what that was all about.
And i agree, a stock V8 HEMI would run circles around a S2K
Im sure the new Taurus SHO TTV6 would be a hell of a match for the Challenger SRT8

@krazydude93 yeah man i love my hondas but i know a mustang 05 and up v8 will beat any stock s2k, those 5 liters are alot of an improvement over the 4.6, haha yeah man the sho is a total beast, the new infiniti m56 would be a good race with both of those cars too!

@idiotsawvfr5 Assuming you're talking about the '11 Mustangs, right?...since the S2K was discontinued after '09. I do think the new 5.0s are nice, but I'd take a '96-'98 Cobra any day over it. That's my first choice for a stang.

@RtGKarma well idk but over here i dont usually lose to civics. I had lost to one but it was a 2000 with a turbo so yea. But thats my point when you say civics have 125 hp and only 105 ft ibs! Thats mainly where they messed up with the civics and all cavaliers come even or more. My brothers ls sport eco. is 145 hp and 155 torque. But in the end cavaliers have flaws to...INTERIOR!! lol

@RtGKarma dude i have an 2200 sfi with a few mod's but when my car sat stock with 115 hp no crappy civic beat me. I never raced newer ones when it was stock, i prolly would have lost but now idk. I stepped up to stangs, integs, and cobalts. Not sc! Lol. My car now sits at 145 hp , 145 ft ibs of torque! Civics lose ft ibs of torque even when they come stock!! Cavaliers came 115hp and 115 ft ibs!

@jdtothap32 really? that seems so wired to me. my buddy has a cavy. not totally sure what it is but its one of the higher end "performance" models. I waste him all the time in my 03 Si. I'm kind of lost because someone said that civics are still only running 126hp and 100fpt. The new ones are rated at 193hp and 160ish fpt. i'm just confused i guess. I still dont see the Si going down to a Cavy. Maybe base models but not Si's.

i have a ecotec cavalier and i beat integras with 1.6L DOHC ZC motors all the time by a car length and the car had mods and all i have is a straight 2" exhaust. Oh yea and its a sedan.... ha

Actually it's highly possible for a cavalier to beat a civic. I have an 02 cav 2200sfi (rated stock at 115hp and 135f/lbs torque.) Mine when it was stock (5 speed) could take a 5 speed civic si. Not so sure about an 08 but i could take all the older models. My model isn't rated for as much horsepower as the civic but in acceleration horsepower means little. The base model cav motor runs (i believe) over 30f.lbs torque more than the civic si. But the civic runs 10hp more.

There is no way in hell that would get taken by a stock cav 2200sfi... it just wouldn't happen. not to say that an si is all mighty or anything but it just doesn't go down like that.

Well i don't know where you live that an Si's running that power, but here it's only 126hp and 100f/lbs torque here. An SiR on the other hand runs that. But there's few Sir's here, actually i'm not sure if any, i don't think they sold them here.

Agreed. I have a Cobalt and it's very slow. Not to say that a Civic SI is a hot rod but still much quicker than a Cavalier.

ghostcivic99 you are a dumb REDNECK you DUN dont know what you are talking about, an 08 si will run 13's with a good driver (stock). I have a ap1 with H/I/E vafc tune, I run low 13's... SI's are not that much slower than s2k's.....

i believe 14.7 is the fastest usually ran on stock Si so 13'S??? you are outta your mind. as far as cavys being pos yes they are, but their quality at the time is about the same as a civic so its funny you said that
