Here, her weapon looks like Sun Shangxiang's but in the PS2 version, she has bladed bow.

How the shit does your renbu bar fill so fast? ._. Is it because of the sheer amount of enemies at the beginning? Or does chaos mode build renbu faster? ~_~

She fires one arrow and can do it as many times as she likes.  It is her jump charge.

yue ying does look like she improved, but i kinda wished they gave players the option to CHOOSE between the character's old weapons and the new ones. The other archer in the game Sun Shang Xiang was jipped by KOEI because they took away her wind and fire wheels and they made her a Yue Ying Clone. I think one archer is plenty, and the other archer is a waste of a character because how many other ways can you fight with a bow?

They aren't really that familiar if you study them both. Actually none of the characters are.

It may look like it in the first levels, or at the first sight.

Yue Ying seems to be having a much more direct moveset than SSX.

SSX have a massive range. The only similiarity is the rythm of the musou and the weapon. Nothing else

Yue Ying's style focuses more on individual attacks (killing enemies in front of her) while it seems that SSX seems to focus on crowd control. That's how they're different.

Well your right, SSX's sub weapon was a bow(I guess calling it machine gun bow would be better) but I think YY is a better fit with a bow rather than a war spear looking like a farmer's sickle
