as silly and childish as this is , i actually learned quite a bit. See , im new to the world of linux ( ubuntu more specifically ) and dont know anything about it. Giving a brief and simple answer to the differences between these distros is EXACTLY what i wanted to know. I now know that Xubuntu is the distro i should have went for since the whole reason i sought after ubuntu was to use an operating system that didnt hog up so many system resources. Thanks

@Gispero agreed. all the haters and fanboys are tiresome and annoying as hell. it's their fault for not being that educated to figure out another OS besides windows. it's not that freaking hard. I'm a linux noob and I figured it out easily. granted I'm a windows power user.
