I still love the people who claim Metallica sold out when they decided to take different directions, when Metallica, in reality, always wrote the shit they decided they wanted to write. If anything, musically, Death Magnetic was the point where they "sold out", since they did exactly what the fans wanted and wrote another thrash album.
