I feel what you said in the video. However sometimes it's best to sabotage a relationship because that person may have been good in the begginning but show their true colors in the end, & we (men & women) think they'll act better if we stay. I just went through this and now I can see it was for the best. At first I knew homeboy wasn't my type but I went with him anyway, in the end I realized I should have followed my intincts. Everyone follow your instincts, they never lie to you!
so did I sabotage the situation... I sure did.... but I feel justified by doing so... and as far as being COMPLETELY truthful.... am I REALLY going to tell dude that....? Is there really any way to express those thoughts, observastions and feelings I had while out on date with dude.....? NO.... so anyway... there it is... But I feel you girlie... words I needed to hear for the next time...

I met this decent dude the other day.... he was a gentleman... however his mannerisms were a bit TOO feminine for me... and it TURNED me off.... I felt bad about it... and yes he was totally into me... but I was definintely being judgemental.... but I COULDN'T get past his mannerisms... I am with a guy right now and despite my multiple attempts to sabotage what we have, he is patient, takes shit that he really shouldn't, and still says that I am the only one he wants to be with....damn he is a good man..I need to get it together because deep down I know I want to be with him too, but I'm scared to end my search for the perfect guy...
self-sabotage stems from fear. fear of the unknown, fear of change (if you typically go for a certain type and you're trying something new), fear of being vulnerable, etc. it sucks, but just like anything else that we're fearful of, facing it will do us good.
Good advice. I think relationships are about compatibility, but they also depend on timing. You have to be ready for Mr or Mrs Right when they show up.....I know that from experience! Hang in there, girl.....

Stay positive and maybe just take this time to work through your feelings - thats what I have been trying to for a while. Now and then I have lapses (like having a fit whenever my emotions get the better of me). I think its good that we have identified our problem, now we can work towards resolving it. You’re right about having the ability to recognize a good man in the first place. So many women go after the “normal type” aka the bad boys but then act surprise when they treat you bad! So now we have these baggage and negative hang-up about men, and when a good man finally comes our way, some of us do not have enough sense to recognize him. It is a shame that a lot of us have gotten used to the bull and can’t appreciate anything without it. Let’s do better.
I want a good man and when I find him I WILL NOT LET GO. I've had my chances with good guys and I always went for the bad boys and the bad boys sometimes thinks EVERY woman wants them. II get what your saying he might not be what you normally go for but give him a chance he might be the love of your life.
