  • o juiz é o mario

  • i play it under 10min :p

  • @mkbvbmk

Okay it's an old video and it doesn't matter whether you can prove it or not heh heh heh.

  • One of the best games on the Gameboy in my opinion!

  • I want to buy a physical copy of this game so i can shit on it!!! I bought it for the 3DS and it licks monkey testes!!!

  • I bought this on the 3DS virtual console because i had a spare $4 on my account.

I am now addicted to this game

  • @B1ushMoe I'm pretty sure you'd be paying $7 if you lived in Australia :/

  • @YodatheJedi12 ASS SHITY TITTY BALLS NIPPLES. TEABAG IN MY FACE!

  • the ds version is rubbish

  • its on the 3ds virtual shop and i wasnt sure but now i see a video and it looks realy good for 3 bucks

  • I loved playing this on my Gameboy when I was a kid. Now I'm playin

  • Theres a bug in the game I discovered:

In you service throw the ball up, hit with the racket when the ball is out of reach, let the ball fall on your head. DIRECT POINT

  • @Lgw1984 Holy crap. That actually works.

  • my aunt always let me played this at her house when i was bored. good childhood memories

  • Man this takes me back.

  • yeah just playing it :)

  • After every won game there come a huge wave. oO

  • @CHRISSSIBOY

Yes and that's a good thing.

  • I love the music in this game. the crowd cheering sounds are cool too. I wish that I still had this but I might have the ROM in an emulator somewhere.

  • i still play this from time to time on my gb color

  • @MeNoBites

    Yay.

  • i fukcing loved the music!

  • @Tubofluxar

Same. Very cheerful and melodic, these are the traits of parent Nintendo games.

  • @SeventhSun

uhu sounds like a chiptune where actually somebody tried to make a good tune. because most games had crap music :P

  • @Tubofluxar

Yes, digital music. Most Game Boy games have decent to excellent tunes, and you probably mean the various consoles where lots of crap tunes could be easily found.

  • @Tubofluxar

    Great.

  • Where you downloaded it?

  • On level 3 you could do aces out wide every time in the deuce court.

  • Fuck !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I miss that !!

  • Do you have that big game Stick where are 25 games ? like pitman Dr Mario Marioland Penguinland Snake Vollelfire and so on?

xD i habe this it was made for the very first gameboy

  • i remember this lol

  • oh my god...i seriously got super choked up watching this. i spent so many of my childhood hours playing this game. i saw it in a pawn shop and i shoulda fucking bought it.

  • @joshd108

Hey you can download it to your 3Ds now for 2.99 cents ....

  • level 4 was fucking tough,i miss the old time

  • @1arweak

Yeah it was hell, but I'm happy to try and do it. Also this is a really solid and fun game if it weren't for the bloody ugly manual... gah!!

  • i remember this!

  • is there any better moment when you, (for example) been done with a visit on a place and after that, getting back home and crying in mom and dads bed cause you didn´t want to go for that visit in the first place... and right after that you will be Rewarded with a Gameboy from your mom and with this game included? that did happen me... and the scarry visit where at the dentist! (at year 5-6) x-D

  • Brings back old memories, i love this game

  • Is the Ref Mario???

  • omg that looks like so much fun!

  • I had so many GameBoy games, and it's strange to think this was my favourite game of them all. :)

  • You should position the serves!

  • @Grelin1999

Sure, but it doesn't matter as I'd find a way to win anyway.

  • Whats the name of the game?

  • @lekkimsm2500

    I... I'm afraid I forgot...

  • First time i see what happens if someone actually beat this game i got it about 15years ago? something like that and still this game is impossible to me anyway

  • the fact that marion was in this game madei t even more epic

and i loved when i found out the simple winning cheat, else i wouldve never won highest level :D

  • Most addictive tennis game I've ever played! Used to play it for hours on my old gameboy. Level 4 was the best!! :-)

  • I buyed this game for my Game Boy Classic less than a month ago.

But I saw that this one is more harder than I thought!

I use to play my GB in my travels by train, going to work and returning to my home and so.

I have the booklet, the box and the protective plastic and the plastic where you put the cartridge in to close the box, I mean, I have the complete game! :)

I need more easy games like this for my travels by train, I have Pac-Man too and I like it !!!

  • Oh so you bought it too. That's great. The instruction manuals are atrocious though (like Tetris despite the beautiful box art) but that is Nintendo's marvelous way of doing things so.

You should consider getting Lock N Chase and Palamedes (I trample on the ugly manuals placed near my bed the first thing I wake up everyday for many years).

You're just playing the games, so it's okay.

  • nice, but why don´t you try to do some aces?

  • Thanks, but what is an ace?

  • Never mind, you are deaf and dumb. Forget I asked.

  • i'm playing it on game boy still lol. you're pretty good actually. and cool music lol :D

  • No it's damn good ~

  • true ;)

  • How do you Lob

  • I loved this game!!!

its cool and cult 4 ever!!!XD

  • i shouldnt have sold mine!! ahhh, lol

  • I remember playing this years ago. What great times. Too bad, I sold it :'(

  • i got this for 99 cents at a play and trade store

  • Good buy.

  • LOOK IT'S MARIO!!!

  • I had this game but i never made it to level 4.

  • I'll go crazy if I can't get a rom of this game. I've looked for it everywhere with no succes. Could anyone send me it? Thanks

  • I'd like to ask you something. Can I send you a message? Let me judge your sincerity as a person.

  • Of course you can. How I'm I supposed to show you my sincerity? Do I seem to be a person with no sincerity? Why?

  • It seems you have done it. Go to your inbox to read the question I have for you.

  • I played this since 15 years with success, but in the beginning I lost every match I had played. After a new match that I have one in a hard threesetter against level 2, the result was 6:3 4:6 and 6:4, I have won often the matches without fighting. That was too boring for me, so I have changed. I have played the matches without the moonballs. My hardhitter tennis today against the level 4 player is now more interesting and longer then before with some fantastic rallies. I love this game!

  • My goal in this world is just to own the Japanese import cartridge copy (the black-and-white US version manual cover without the nice color box art is rubbish) and to beat the computer at Level 4 at 6-0, 6-0.

I have met both and have thus reached the summit, so I do not need to waste time to refine the repeated beating of a dead horse as I progress to achieve one credit, no damage and/or double perfect standards on the hardest difficulty in many other games I like as well.

  • ur pretty good man

  • Yes~~ the highest level is very hard to win

but actually there is a glitch.

When you serve, you can throw the ball up and then move your body toward the ball and let it crash your head.

You'll hear a "ka" voice, and gain the point = =""".....

  • I never played this game in the Game Boy, but I wanted it in my childhood. It is very similar gameplay that Konami´s Tennis MSX cartridge.

It seems a good game. If I find it a store, I will buy it!!!

  • i found this game in a bunch of Game Gear cartiges i bought...

it PISSES ME OFF! but its fun ^_^

  • Nice I can't even beat level 2 yet... =(

I've been trying to hit the ball at Mario when I lose.

  • i loved this game it was really good considering what year it was made in

  • nice music !

  • Hey what's Mario doing here?

  • Jerking off on the chair.

  • lol thats like roger vs rafa!!!!!

  • hehe, they were just babies on those days

  • and i thought i was good beating level 2

  • by the way nice game.....and you are a very good player!!!!

  • This is the best tennis game ever on GameBoy! I originally bought it so many years ago

for my G.B Pocket, but I still play sometimes on my G.B color ^^

SeventhSun you should try to do some aces ;-)

  • I played this game in 2003 on a airline flight

    Singapore Airlines

    England to Australia

Kept me entertained on the 24 hour flight

  • I hated the crowd in this game. so biased!

it took me a year to complete lv 4 lol (aside from tossing my GB colour at the wall in anger over bs decision OUT)

  • Hurrah I have this game...and boy don't I love it??

Its a really nice game and I would agree with the other user that THIS is the game that does what you instruct it to do, not what you don't ..

  • this is actually the only tennis game in which you can control everything that you do. if you make mistakes, the ball WILL go out. it just does what you instruct it to.

every other stupid tennis game today will do things automatically for you. most of them you cannot make mistakes or hit the ball out. they are like pong, with updated graphics to wash people over.

game boy tennis is still the best one out there

  • it's kinda cheap the way you only return with a lob.

    nevertheless good job.

  • Oh yes, I discovered that jointly by effort and by pure accident back in 1996 when my friend who was undoubtedly excellent in winning when he gets to serve the ball, confessed he has no idea of knowing how to return the com's serves in turn, let alone turning them into wins. I watched him play before, so.

Nevertheless I kept these in mind and wanted to be better than him especially in the latter aspects.

    Thank you!

  • BEST TENNIS GAME EVER!!

    i feel olddd

  • EXACTLY!!!

    Nah, don't feel that way.

  • that is great a old game for a gameboy tennis

i look a person Mario! XD

  • classic game for the gameboy I remember having my gameboy and thisd game plus tetris and the mario games and i had this mini amp made by NUBY that hooked to the bottom of the gameboy i wish i had that thing today id use it on my ipod

  • the outs always kill me in this game.

  • the crowds just looking at him like "he's such a loser"

Either way, amazing job. You are really good at this!

  • LOL! Mario!

  • I still have this game hehe

  • This level is somewhat difficult to beat, the sprite is too slow!

  • im a tennis ninja and your almost ready to play me

  • I should believe you're quite there too.

  • About 20 minutes prior to posting I captured a video with 6-0, 6-1 as the score, but I thought it was still not good enough. I really hate the "almost" kind of feeling, so I had to play it over and come up with this better video instead.

  • my GB games were Tetris, Dr. Mario, Mario Land 1&2, Zelda: Link's Awakening, Metroid 2, Wario Blast(found this game on the ground of a bball court lol!), a Kirby's Dream Land, Pokemon Red&Blue(hard to admit), Mercenary Force, and probably rented a few too. yeah..playing that poke-crap made me miss out on a lot of life. Im not sure why, but I had a strange urge to level them all up to lv 99 without using that candy.

  • Ah yes, I would be doing a video of Mercenary Force soon. I am proud to beat the game.

And you never thought I could play with pure luck and skill and beat this level 4 com 6-0, 6-0 right? ;P

  • Beats Mario Power Tennis any day. I've played the NES tennis but not this one. Cool.

  • I see. I prefer this over the NES one. The overall design and colors of the latter seemed a bit too primitive and even ugly if you ask me.

  • Hey, there was Mario Tennis for Game Boy Color.

  • I saw the tennis of Game Boy for the first time.

I was doing the tennis of NES to the friend.

This seems to be simple and to be interesting.

  • Thanks for your comments.

Yeah, I know. I have played that before too. The Famicom/NES version has up to level 5, but don't you think that, despite being in black-and-white, this game boy one has better sound, music and settings?

Mario looks better in this one too =D

  • I didn't get into Tennis video games until Virtua Tennis came along. The AI in these games or something always seemed off and I'd get really frustrated.

  • This was one of my first GB games along with Qix, Solar Striker, and Super Mario Land.

  • Super Mario Land and Tetris (that came bundled with the set) were my first. This great game came much later. A friend who beat it inspired me to return to the court. While I admit he is better in diverting winning hit angles when the ball is in his hand (he hardly needs to smash), he is totally clueless when the computer gains control in turn, whereas I found an excellent way to counter its lightning serves and got the crowd's cheers coming to me instead.
