I thought it was pretty good for the PS2, I didn't have online either and if you're into a good story line and there are quite a few missions for the story mode. It's also one of those games that once you beet it you can continue playing. So if you get online later you'll still have your data.

If you pay attention to the storyline. In the beginning of the game. It tells why they were fighting. laia... if im right. ( probly got her name wrong but who cares) Doesn't agree with what ethan did. Some other people dont either if you talk to people in the first town. I havent played normal PSU so im not sure about that one. And on the PSP game, hes a good guy, i have him in my party.

You're completely right, AOI's storyline was WAY better. but I like PSP's best so far. :P I've gotta say though, I really miss Ethan. It's kinda cool how he's sorta evolved from this bratty rebelious kid, into a legendary hero, and gives advice to new guardians. But even while I miss Ethan, it's so good that now we can customize our people so much more, and play as them in story mode. *CAST ftw!*
