Thanks, Really useful video. i have got a kit that came with one of my boards and it was got wast looks like little tubes of wax but they dont seem to melt on the iron.do you know what they could be
@totalgeek1994 The binding screws tend to suck the base into the binding, leaving small indents. Not removing the binding will cause the wax to not cover the area under the binding. Its not necessary to remove the binding but it helps alot
Iron is to hot. It's not suppose to smoke

You dont want the iron to smoke at all it makes all the chemicals in the wax smoke and ruins the wax.

@ellox0 It's the wax smoking like a candle does...
linkmen 1 year ago
@linkmen well, i know that it was wax smoking (it was ironic question ;P), but it shouldn't be.
wax should be melting... it smokes when it is burning..

@Scooterez
If that was the one ball jay kit, you melt those with a torch to fill gouges in your base.
Hope this helps!

Some people say you must unscrew your bindings before you wax. Is that necessary?
totalgeek1994 2 years ago 5
@totalgeek1994 ya
shutthehellup6666 1 year ago
@totalgeek1994 yes because the bindings will pull on your board and create little lifted spots. this wont let you get wax into those spots as well.
