did anyone notice that the "cutted" guy is stuck to the table from the begining? my guess is that the upper half is a small guy with its legs in a lotus position or so (also i guess he is a small guy like the one distracting attention) and the second guy is hidden in the table all the time providing us only the legs.... and then the video-cutt as many of you said before..... also, pay attention to the guys arms, they appear to be stuck to his torso... i wonder why? though it is a cool trick! :)

There are 2 people here. One is normal, the other has no lower torso. That's why a mask is on the face of the man so you won't see that it is 2 different people. Exactly how the switch is made is unclear--due to cutaways to the squirming panel--but that's how it's done. Marvelous illusion!!!

You'll notice that there are multiple cuts (edits) where they show the reactions of the judges, and this helps hide the illusion when they switch the masked man with a different person that looks similar.
So sad this man goes through life with this unusual hardship, but at least he has a job and seems to do ok for himself.

No wires were involved to suspend the man in the mask. He is a real man that has the misfortune of missing the entire lower part of his body. The legs that appear to move independently of the severed upper body are fake and attached to the rolling cart.

The dark guy gets cut in half by a chainsaw, they then have a few seconds to perform the trick before all the blood rushes out and the guy passes out.
When he has done all the cool tricks (lifting himself up etc.) they just put his torso and legs on to a table and plaster him together just like that, and hey presto! His back on his legs again!
I don't know how he managed to be quiet when the chainsaw cut troug him though...

I find the lack of people being able to easily figure out this illusion to be very dismaying. Is the power of critical thought actually becoming a rarity? Or was it never prevalent to begin with?

I've found something interesting:
1 - Table is very thich. I think that rest of "lonely legs" is in that table.
2 - At 0:58 "Torso" is on a piece of table, and at 1:01 that piece of table is missing.
3 - Since 1:05 is a full body. Fat man is covering "conection" betwen "Torso" and "Legs"
4 - Torso is wearing a mask, so no one can recognise person who is wearing a mask, so there must be two afroamericans.
So this is only a TV TRICK.

Wow, thank you for that incredibly well articulated insight. You have totally convinced me that my life is worthless. I'm going to magically die through the act of shooting my self (two words, you notice) in the head. I know a guy who got cut in half long-ways and had his whole left side amputated. He's all right now.

Guys... it's so obvious!
The whole thing is done pretty easy:
The dark guy gets cut in half by a chainsaw, they then have a few seconds to perform the trick before all the blood rushes out and the guy passes out.
When he has done all the cool tricks (lifting himself up etc.) they just put his torso and legs on to a table and plaster him together just like that, and hey presto! His back on his legs again!
I don't know how he managed to be quiet when the chainsaw cut troug him though...

My only thought is that there are two people ( I guess that is what mask is for - so it's harder to recognize ppl) - one amputee and one normal, who is bent over in that box, therefore being able to move his leg. And thats where my theory cracks - they have to change those ppl again when "nailing" legs back to torso and I have completely no idea how ;[

I find the lack of people being able to easily figure out this illusion to be very dismaying. Is the power of critical thought actually becoming a rarity? Or was it never prevalent to begin with?
Either way people sure seem to allow their occipital lobe a little too much sway....

who needs to understand it or figure out how it's done? At the end of the day it's entertainment, it's not real, just simple trickery. I watched it, enjoyed and I'll move on. If I was an illusionist then I'd care how it was done but I'm not and I don't. I'd rather spend my time figuring out things that really matter. Nice to know you're so very clever though, gratz on the arrogance!

Ok here's it:
He has his legs angled to his chest. The legs standing at the side are not real, but emtpy inside. At the end he just pushes his legs back into the empty trouser, when the other guy hides the view.

well, it depends on alot of things, like you need all your organs and their is no organs in your legs so you dont "need" them to live.

Wise up.Notice the way in which the shots of the illusion are interspaced with shots of the audience.Stuff happens that we are not seeing.Magic routines often make use of camera tricks and selective editing.
