WoW died for me because after playing it for two years, I got bored with it. I did all the regular dungeons and the heroics. I did most of the quests and checked out most of the holiday content. This past November I tried to get in to it again and I just couldn't....
Instead I really got in to weight lifting, biking and eating right. Which is probably healthier than drinking three or four beers a night while doing random dungeons.
WoW was supposed to be dead after Burning Crusade. If WoW is dead Blizzard will announce it not some single consumer and maybe his friends who have little knowledge of the interworkings of blizzard.

It's actually been said alot before that considering WoW is so highly popularised that it very likely cases a lot of unsocial activity making WoW the most unsocial MMO out there.
@theelephanttaco they never had 12 million subs, 40% of their subs were banned in 2006 & simply made new accounts-they stopped reporting banned subs after that year- add to that the one user per license rule & they can count one household as multiple subs
played since tbc i wish i saw the original game. I enjoyed BC i never thought it was too hard. Wotlk ruined wows community with LFD tool and there was no world pvp besides wintergrasp so it blowed followed by cata with no world pvp ojectives still and terrible pigeon hole talent lines. Followed by MOP 5 point talent lines and pokemon.
Looks like you guys will have to redo this to incorporate Pandas and Pokemon.

Wow isn't dead, after 3 xpacks everyone just gets bored of it. Sure they add more stuff, but antone who plays it for so long will find its boring. You just gotta find another game. its blizz foult that wow is going down mb TBC was tha only good exp for me true thay made pala and shams for both fractions then that wasnt so bad but in WotLK .. well imo they rly screwed up.. extreme stat rise, unneeded secondary stats, two types of gear, no feeling that u have smt rare, they lost their storys.. in brief brainless pres buttons game.. and in Cata i thought they cant srewed more, but they rly done it with more stat rising and this absurd class race comb.. so this is my opinion!

The burning crusade was the only good experience for me. it was true because they made pala and shams exclusive for each faction. then there was WOTLK which wasn't so bad. well IMO they really screwed up.. extreme stat rise, unneeded secondary stats, two types of gear, no feeling that you would have something rare, they lost their stories.. and now it's nothing more than a brief brainless press button game.

I've never encountered anyone in this game that's been below the age of 15, not that I'd mind of course, and if you look at polls being made you'll see that they're dominated by Vanilla players.
Vanilla WoW = unpolished and new, it doesn't make it better at all.

WoW certainly is dead to me now anyway since I don't have friends who play either that or private servers, the game is so boring on your own, I really don't see what people see in these MMO's now, all I see is people trolling, that's pretty much it, there's just no sociality in these theme park themed MMO's whatsoever.

I started WoW way back in April 2006 and very rarely I came across good people that wanted to be my friend but then they just suddenly disappear forever. I honestly don't think people care much about WoW more considering how bad Cataclysm is and soon smegging Panda people. I would have thought private servers would be better but those either are empty or over populated with people who like to troll

It's actually been said alot before that considering WoW is so highly popularised that it very likely cases a lot of unsocial activity making WoW the most unsocial MMO out there.

@theelephanttaco they never had 12 million subs, 40% of their subs were banned in 2006 & simply made new accounts-they stopped reporting banned subs after that year- add to that the one user per license rule & they can count one household as multiple subs

More than half of WoWs subs are from China, many of the remaining subs are banned addicts starting new accts.
Every person I played with over the past 4 years has quit the game & never returned- I have five 85s & quit cold turkey- haven't looked back.
Most of the servers that were active are now low pop.
Blizz is talking about converting back to BC's standards because...they're thriving? Plz.

played since tbc i wish i saw the original game. I enjoyed BC i never thought it was too hard. Wotlk ruined wows community with LFD tool and there was no world pvp besides wintergrasp so it blowed followed by cata with no world pvp ojectives still and terrible pigeon hole talent lines. Followed by MOP 5 point talent lines and pokemon.

Looks like you guys will have to redo this to incorporate Pandas and Pokemon.
While the Nintendo girl gamers and the 9 year olds will love this expansion, We'll be chillin' in our guild cruisers on SWTOR, breaking out the guns to crack some Republic Fools, Or Wandering around the world of Tyria, Trying to find some more Centaurs to slaughter.
WoW will have to innovate in this expansion, but knowing blizzard, that won't happen :D

I think its all of the lazy players bitching about things they dont wanna do the work for that created the abysmal conditions we find the game in today. Although Blizz has gotten a bit lax in keeping up with good story lore and keeping players interested. And I know pandas were in Warcraft but damn, they shouldnt get an entire expansion to themsleves. I wanna fight Sargeras already!

When it comes to the talent system, it was already dummed down enough. Because everyones tree always looks the same. In the end there is no spec diversity. That's why the talent tree is dummed down so your opinion actually matters. So you can do something new that other people in your calss aren't doing.

Wow isn't dead, after 3 xpacks everyone just gets bored of it. Sure they add more stuff, but antone who plays it for so long will find its boring. You just gotta find another game. The only people who are gonna enjoy it are the new people. Its like eating ice cream. If you always order the same thing, your gonna eventually wanna try something new. Personally if I were blizzard, id work on making wow more story driven like swtor.

cata killed wow. real wow is dead for now. wow cata is not anymore wow. people are running with 141k hp wtf? you have to hit 50 frostbolls to kill someone. you have very big hp and Counterspell is useless now.
wow was cool when 4000 hp was big health. and when mages could kill with 2 crits. and when level was 60.
I dont play it any more. it is not fun.

Wow has died a number of times with every expansion or major patch. A lot of players quit and new ones join.
I was a wrath-baby and for me wow died with the Firelands patch, so yes for me wow is dead and for some it just started ...

Played SWTOR got to lvl 42 so boring prefer DS... It's true..WoW is dead. I started playin just after BC came out, and it was awesome. BC actually pushed you to get better at the game. WotLK came out, and i thought "Meh...now every asshole is gonna be a DK"...liked the story but that was bout it. Cataclysm: ok, at least they took the tedious same old quests out and changed it up, but dungeons were a pain in the ass. now i see this "Pandaren Monk" shit....fuck you blizzard, now you have shown you have REALLY lost your way...
