  • Rose Marie was SEVEN YEARS OLD when she cut "Say That You Were Teasin' Me" with Fletcher Henderson & his Orchestra (Victor 22960). What makes this recording doubly amazing is that it was Rose Marie's ONLY chart hit -- reaching #19 the week of May 2, 1932. On the disc she is billed as "Baby Rose Marie," they name she used on stage and radio at the time. So what were YOU doing when you were seven?

  • Man I thoughtI commented on this AWESOME record, But I guess it did not go through. This is just FANTASTIC!!!

  • I see that video for the first time in my live and never knew anything about baby rose marie but im really impressed that they had such a good child singer in the 30s.

  • I like dat song.

  • "Baby" Rose Marie recorded this with Fletcher Henderson's orchestra (Coleman Hawkins on tenor sax) for Victor on March 10, 1932.

  • Awesome, i love it! I wish so much that I could get these songs on iTunes....

  • Poor fatty- he was just robbed. Look into it, you will be sad for him too.

  • I read a book once that claimed he was guilty. Looking at a wiki article, I see it is indeed possible that Mr. Arbuckle was unjustly accused. I don't know why Ms. Rappe's friend would claim Arbuckle had raped Virginia; perhaps she had some private axe to grind. I stand corrected. But what's with the hostility over a comment about something that happened 90 years ago? There are ways to correct a comment you disagree with, without belittling the person you believe is wrong.
