They bench press 102 Kgs at least 30 times times and they squat at least 265 kg.
If the Playing field were even and these guys were bred from the beginning to play rugby, I think The US would have an amazing team, maybe as good as the traditional rugby powerhouses. Brian Urlacher would be a badass flanker, and Devin Hester would be a breathtaking wing.

I'm not trying to be some dumb American. I play rugby and i am in love with it and i think it is a superior to American Football. However; I would not question the incredible athletic ability of American football players. Those guys are freaks. A typical linebacker runs 40 meters in under 4.7 seconds. They bench press 102 Kgs at least 30 times times and they squat at least 265 kg.

If the Playing field were even and these guys were bred from the beginning to play rugby, I think The US would have an amazing team, maybe as good as the traditional rugby powerhouses. Brian Urlacher would be a badass flanker, and Devin Hester would be a breathtaking wing.

I just hate how NFL players are called cowards and pansies. The level of play is so fast and intense. The players do not use the pads for protection. They use them more like weapon. They hurl themselves at eachother with no care of their own being. Whether right or wrong. ( i personally think it's wrong) You cant say those guys dont have balls.

Dude, Maori are polynesians! You're right though, the haka done by a team including white guys who do it properly is pretty cool. Haka are done as a challenge to the other team and are awesome for psyching yourself up before the game starts, entertainment of the crowd is secondary. Since my original post I've found one of the best vids to watch was actually put out by ADIDAS (the main sponsor of the All Blacks) - search for "History of the Haka" its a pretty good explanation.

If you would like to see a proper haka done with 'mana' (pride/understanding/feeling) do a search for 'haka' and check out the haka performed by the New Zealand Maori Rugby team (the New Zealand indigenous team) before playing the Lions Team (the best Rugby players picked from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales) - now THATS a haka! ps - we (NZ Maori) won that game

Actually, this particular haka belongs to Ngati Toa, whose tupuna (ancestor) Te Rauparaha wrote it in 1810. This haka ngeri is basically a karakia (incantation, prayer) and I think is inappropriate for this team to be doing it.
