Seems like activating Ravine...blocking...then bolt'ing before damage would have been better, you get the Fiend and the Guide that way.

at 3:35 activate Ravine and block to save the bolt

As you noted later not unearthing Hellspark is suspicious; I'd chump the fiend rather than block with Titan, since you're going to have a bunch of plants to keep chumping it later.
