And HOW can you compare this to 6 people dying, including a nine-year-old girl and a federal judge as well as a congresswoman shot in the head and injured along with 11 others in terms of importance in the national spot light? Mexico has very strict gun control, yet over 30,000 have died there in shootings these past 12 months. By definition, criminals do not obey the law, so how exactly will passing a "gun law", no matter how draconian, stop criminal activity? The shootings in Tucson were terrible, sad for all involved. If a bomb was used or the guy drove a car through the crowd the results are the same. Bless you.

@alsledge Your welcome for my opinion. And you can keep your blessing. Japan has strict gun control laws, and gun crime is virtually gone there. It doesn't matter if criminals don't follow the law or not, it's that they are not given the means to break it. You're right about the fact that a car or bomb could have been used, but they weren't. A gun was, as is the case with most violent acts in this country.

@Koocarakara Even if we were to be dumb enough to outlaw guns, they can still be fabricated. I've made several custom ones myself over my lifetime. All it takes some machine tool skills and steel. Mexico has stricter laws than Japan, yet ranks #1 in gun violence. In the US (same overall culture) gun crime is the highest in those states with the toughest gun laws. Vermont for example has no gun laws, a heavily armed population, and the lowest crime rate. May you have the blessing. of knowledge.

Mexico has also been corrupted for some time and lost control of the drug cartels (that we help fuel). And having guns legal accounts for more deaths in the country per million citizens than car accidents. The facts are there. You can't morally argue that guns are causing more good than harm. The Judge is an OK firearm, better than no firearm at all. I agree with the other comment though. Trade in the Judge for a full frame semi auto that holds at least 15 rounds. If you can tote that big judge revolver you can pack one that holds more rounds. ......Imagine 4 thugs being there to get you and each of them has a gun. That is when number of rounds really matter. Next time shoot them to the ground! Overall, way to go!

@j3ox If she had any kind of high-brass shotshell in that Judge, it will kill at that range - even birdshot can depending on where they're hit.

But it sounded like the guy was really fat, so he may have been lucky if she was using birdshot - it probably didn't go through all the fat into anything vital. The lesson here is to use high-brass 6&1/2 shot or bigger...so they can't rob, or hurt anyone else.
