@vandeindia Timoja was the hindu admiral who invited and helped the Portuguese to defeat Adil Shah. Many treaties were signed with the Portuguese for trade and land. Adil Shah managed to push the Portuguese away but in 1510 Goa was conquered again and so began the greatest history of Goa's chapter. Today the richest Goans are the hindus which were greatly helped by the Portuguese. Dempo, Chowgule, Salgaocar etc.
