Oh, MY! Such dear little deer. :) If they don't have a rack on their heads they ain't legal to shoot. This may sound cruel but I'd rather eat meat from an animal that grew up and lived FREE and wild than from a factory slaughterhouse that caused unbearable agony for the poor thing it's whole short, miserable life. A couple of $2.00 bullets can fill a deep freeze and feed a family. Is it true the deer population is too large? Do they really need to be "thinned out?"

@tomken8dy I don't know how big herds are in the park in the next block from where I videoed these, but I normally don't see many around there.

A -too large- herd causes animals to wander
into otherwise frightening suburban areas
in search of food.
It might not just be "hunter propaganda."
Trouble is, they go after the biggest,
strongest, most "fit" bucks.
Reverse Darwinism.
Those most fit to propagate are eliminated.

Maybe they are safer in the suburbs from hunters.

@DownUnderDoug Since we cannot discharge fire arms within my town's limits, that is true.

On occasion, we get deer in our suburbs as well. It is kind of magical to see. Ah - there they go running off! Thanks for sharing, Ronda! - roc
