its really difficult to show how the mind thinks in a matter of abt 2 hrs. the name cudnt hv been better. It is not the usual story of struggle of becoming a star. But it is wat does a star undergo, how does he feel, wat is it tht can hurt him . i think this explains a story of all the legends be it MJ, Charlie chaplin, einstein, kurt cobain. the world for them look completely different and they cannot adjust to the world we r living in. This is not entertainment, it was some level of reality.

In my opinion, the 'ye ye ye' is very significant. As it seems to me, the singer says 'whatever i try to say, my words mangle the meaning of what i actually want to say'. Thus, in my opinion, the 'ye ye ye' refers to something he's trying to say but cannot put it into proper words thus the 'ye ye ye' sound. Atleast that is what I think.

The whole point of this movie is that Ranbir's characters downfall is all his fault, his instability and his obsession with destroying what he loves, just so he could create the tragedy that follows every rockstar and will make him famous but its too late before he realizes that fame is only a fickle thing.

@garvsk9 Rockstar did suck big time. It was basically a lovestory, but not only that, it was danm slow !!! It had no story to it. When i went to see the movie I expected It to be about music. But it wasn't. Nargis Fakhri has been given too much importance in the movie. By the end of the movie, one is left depressed, 3 hours of his life having been wasted.

This movie might not be masala, but is a disgrace. To me, it was just a wee bit away from being a Saavarya remake. Half star.

It was more about a normal guy becoming a rockstar reason be anything with lots of things going wrong (here it was love & his guilt about his unability to own up he was in love) this is what happens majority, the ambitious guy who wants to be a star and when they become a star they dont care about it. Look at any good singer, musician, artist.
