I liked how the southbound one had luggage car, bike car, luggage car, wheelchair car, and bike car arrangement. And YEAH I get to see MLK train tomorrow!
On Martin Luther King's birthday every year they have a Freedom Train that goes from San Jose to San Francisco in the morning and back to San Jose in the afternoon. They have to use two engines and at least 10 or 12 passenger cars. I took it one time. It was so crowded, mostly with teachers and their students, that the conductor didn't even bother to collect fares !
I used to ride this train all the time between San Francisco and San Jose. But I don't recognize the station. It's probably in San Mateo County somewhere.
Heehee! That's the station I use to take joy-rides on Caltrain when I visit my Grandma in Palo Alto! It's only a 10-15 minute walk from her house, so it's quite convenient.
